Hej Christina. Vi menar bara helt enkelt att du ska lyfta maskan över till andra stickan utan att göra något med den. Mvh DROPS Design

Please explain the diagram m.1 to me. it appears from my reading that the lower edge of piece would correspond to the right edge of the diagram. yet in written form it says to end with 2 garter stitch, on LOWER EDGE. cannot figure this out.

Dear Mrs Hayner, the piece is worked from side to side but diagram will be read from bottom up starting on the bottom corner on the left hand side (1st row = WS) and repeating all the row (starting from the top on WS): * 3 stitches in garter stitch, 1 stitch English rib (brioche)*, repeat from *-* and finish the row (towards the bottom) with 2 sts in garter stitch. - from RS work (from bottom up): 2 sts in garter stitch, (1 st in English rib, 3 garter st), repeat from (to). Happy knitting!

Gr. XXL m. E.: 48M M1+2M kraus = 50 M Anschlag. Zun. für Armauschnitt insg. 10x NICHT 9x! 50M Anschl. + 20 M Zun. = 70 M + 28 M Zun.

Pattern: Se diagram M.1 and M.2. First row in M.1 and M.2 = WS. Buttonhole: Make buttonhole on right front piece. 1 buttonhole = bind off 5th and 6th st from mid front and cast on 2 new sts on return row. --------------------------------------------------------------- Back piece: Knitted sideways, from left towards the right side, back and forth on needle. Make all measurements along lower edge. Loosely cast on 38-42-42-46-54 sts on needle size 4 mm / US 6 and work first row as follows from WS: M.1 on the first 36-40-40-44-52 sts and finish row with 2 garter sts towards lower edge. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When piece measures 2-3-3-3-5 cm/3/4"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-2" cast on 2 new sts at the end of every other row towards the shoulder a total of 2-3-5-7-8 times = 42-48-52-60-70 sts (incorporate new sts in pattern as you go along). Now cast on 32-30-30-30-28 new sts at the left side of piece (armhole) = 74-78-82-90-98 sts. Continue in M.1 with 2 garter sts towards lower edge. When piece measures 14-16-17-19-22 cm / 5½"-6¼"-6¾"-7½"-8¾" bind off 4 sts at the left side of piece for neck = 70-74-78-86-94 sts. When piece measures 30-32-38-38-41 cm / 11¾"-12½"-15"-15"-16⅛" cast on 4 new sts at the left side = 74-78-82-90-98 sts. When piece measures 41-43-46-49-53 cm / 16⅛"-17"-18"-19¼"-21" bind off 32-30-30-30-28 sts at left side of piece (armhole) and then bind off 2 sts at the end of every other row a total of 2-3-5-7-8 times = 38-42-42-46-54 sts. Bind off loosely when piece measures 44-48-52-57-63 cm / 17¼"-19"-20½"-22½"-24¾". Right front piece: Cast on and work like back piece until piece measures 14-16-17-19-22 cm / 5½"-6¼"-6¾"-7½"-8¾" = 74-78-82-90-98 sts. Now bind off for neckline at the left side of piece as follows: 3 sts on every other row a total of 11-11-12-13-14 times. At the same time when piece measures 16-17-19-20-23 cm / 6¼"-6¾"-7½"-8"-9" slip the outermost 13 sts at the right side of piece on a holder (for front band). At the same time bind off 2 sts at the right side of piece on every other row a total of 8-10-10-11-12 times. After all dec are complete there are 12-12-13-16-19 sts left on needle. Bind off, piece measures approx 21-22-25-28-31 cm / 8¼"-8¾"-9¾"-11"-12¼". Front band: Put the 13 sts from holder back on needle and work row as follows from outer edge: 2 garter sts, M.1 on 8 sts and finish row with the 3 first sts of M.1. Continue like this. When piece measures approx 10-10-12-14-14 cm / 4"-4"-4¾"-5½"-5½" make 1 buttonhole – see above. Bind off when piece measures approx 50-54-59-64-70 cm / 19¾"-21¼"-23¼"-25¼"-27½" (adjust to length of front piece + half the neckline on back piece). Left front piece: Like right front piece, but mirrored. Work M.2 instead of M.1. Sleeve: Cast on 58-62-70-78-82 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 4 mm / US 6. Work 2 rows stockinette st and continue in M.1. When piece measures 3 cm / 1⅛" inc 1 st each side on every 6-5-5-5-4 cm / 2⅜"-2"-2"-2"-1½" a total of 2 times = 62-66-74-82-86 sts. Incorporate inc sts in pattern as you go along. When piece measures 12-11-11-11-9 cm / 4¾"-4⅜"-4⅜"-4⅜"-3½" bind off for sleeve cap each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3-4-4-4-4 times, 1 st 3-3-4-5-8 times, and then 2 sts each side until piece measures 18-18-19-20-20 cm / 7"-7"-7½"-8"-8", now bind off 3 sts 1 time each side and then bind off remaining sts on next row. Piece measures approx 20-20-21-22-22 cm / 8"-8"-8¼"-8¾"-8¾". Assembly: Sew shoulder seams in the outermost loop of sts. Sew front bands to front pieces and neckline on back piece and sew tog front bands mid back. Set in sleeves and sew side and sleeve seams. Button cover: Crochet 1 cover with crochet hook size 3 mm / C as follows: 2 ch, then 6 sc in the first ch, finish with 1 sl st in first sc (= round 1) Round 2: ch 1, 2 sc in each sc and finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round = 12 sc. Round 3 + 4: 1 ch and then 1 sc in each sc, finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round = 12 sc. Round 5: ch 1, 1 sc in every other sc and finish round with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round = 6 sc. Put button inside cover, sew round the edge of cover and tighten thread. Sew on button to left front band. Explanation to pattern diagram: M.1 and M.2: first row = WS. |
