I don't understand the binding off for the sleeves. By crocheting over 1 less ch stitch, do you mean making 1 less chain loop at each side when you're working on that row? Does that mean the next row has 1 less chain loop at each side compared to the original stitch pattern? Then the row after that is 2 less chains? Is there a video clip or a picture of the finished sleeve?
12.06.2022 - 22:56DROPS Design answered:
Dear Virgiina, the first rows in the diagrams A, to E shows how to crochet 1 ch-space less ie how to decrease 1 ch-space on each side - at the beg of the row just work reversed, ie instead of finishing with a treble, start with 4 chains and instead of starting with 4 chains, you will crochet 1 treble. Happy crocheting!

Hi. I am using safran at the moment and I love it\r\nIs muskat the same type of cotton as safran and does it feel as soft as safran \r\nMany thanks \r\nFrom Sue
05.07.2018 - 01:04DROPS Design answered:
Dea Sue, Muskat is somewhat thicker yarn, and unlike the Safran, it is made from mercerized cotton, which makes it a bit shinier, and slightly less soft. If you want to substitute yarn, please use our yarn concerter, and do not forget to knit or crchet, wash, bloch and measure a swatch. Happy Crafting.

Crochet gauge: 8 sts of the Pattern (1 repeat = 1 flower) = 4 cm [1.5"] 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"] = 20 sts in width x 3 flowers in height. Pattern: See chart. 1 repeat = 8 sts. The Pattern is divisible by 8 sts + 1 st. Repeat rows 1 - 8. «Bobble»: Pull a loop through the sts (see the chart) and make it approx. 1 cm [3/8"] long, pull another loop through the same sts and make it approx. 1 cm [3/8"] long, pull st though all loops on hook. Front: Ch 98-106 (114-122). Work 1 row of single crochet (sc) in each ch, beginning in the 2nd st = 97-105 (113-121) sts. Crochet the Pattern - see diagram, repeat rows 1 - 8 (on 3rd row = 12-13 (14-15) flowers). When the work measures 26-29 (29-32) cm [10.25" - 11-3/8" (11-3/8" - 12-5/8")] bind off for armholes. Follow the sleeve chart and adjust length for pattern - if you start on the 1st row of pattern use Diagram A; if you start on the 5th row of pattern use Diagram B. After the sleeve bind off 8-9 (10-11) flowers remain on the 3rd row of pattern. When the work measures 38-41 (44-47) cm [14-7/8" - 16-1/8" (17.25" - 18.5")] -- adjust length so you have completed the 1st row or 5th row -- crochet the shoulder pieces at each side of the front’s center 2-3 (2-3) flowers - see shoulder chart. If you have completed the 1st row: Sizes S+L: use Chart C Sizes M+XL: use Chart E If you have completed the 5th row: Sizes S+L: use Chart D Sizes M+XL: use Chart F. Tie off. The body measures approx. 46-49 (52-55) cm [18-1/8" - 19.25" (20.5" - 21-5/8")]. Back: Crochet like the front, but without the neck shaping. Sleeves: Ch 74-74 (82-82). Work 1 row of sc beginning in the 2nd st = 73-73 (81-81) sts. Crochet the Pattern - see diagram, repeat rows 1 - 8 (on 3rd row = 9-9 (10-10) flowers). When the work measures 7-6 (5-4) cm [2.75" - 2-3/8" (2" - 1.5")] bind off for sleeve caps at each side as follows: every other row crochet over 1 less ch st loop. Finish when the work measures 20-19 (18-17) cm [7-7/8" - 7.5" (7" - 6.75")]. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Sew the sleeves to the body. Work 2 rows of sc around the neck. |
