GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = K2 rows.

STRIPES:
Work stripes in garter st as follows, beg from RS:
Row 1-2: K with Cotton Viscose
Row 3-4: K with Alpaca Bouclé
Repeat row 1-4.

TIP:
Piece is to be soaked and stretched to correct measurements, so bind off even though some cm remain.
----------------------------------------------------------

PONCHO:
Worked back and forth in garter st and sewn tog when finished.
Loosely cast on 59-67-75-82 sts with Alpaca Bouclé on circular needle size 5 mm / US 8. K 1 row (= WS). Turn piece. Then work as follows from RS: Work in GARTER ST - see explanation above, AT THE SAME TIME work STRIPES - see explanation above. When piece measures 27-32-37-41 cm / 10½"-12½"-14½"-16", insert a marker in the piece. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! Continue in garter st and with stripes back and forth until piece measures 102-116-128-136 cm / 40"-45 3/4"-50½"-53½" in length – READ TIP! Adjust so that last stripe is in Alpaca Bouclé.
Loosely bind off. Cut and fasten the yarn.

SHAPING:
Place the piece in lukewarm water until it is soaking wet. Carefully squeeze out the water - do not twist. Then roll the piece in a towel and squeeze to remove more water - the piece will now only be moist. Place the piece on a carpet or mattress - carefully stretch it out to measurements found at the top of pattern. Leave to dry. Repeat the process when the garment has been washed.

ASSEMBLY:
When garment has been dried, assemble as follows - see chart:
Fold A to B so that the distance between A and D = 10 cm / 4''. Sew short side tog with one long side so that C is sewn to F, and D is sewn to E (E = marker) - see chart.
