Work * 6 rounds dark old rose, 6 rounds dark gray *, repeat from *-*.

Dec 2 sts before marker as follows: Work until 3 sts remain before marker, slip 1 st as if to K, K 2 tog, psso, (marker) = 2 dec sts.

* Insert hook in next st, get yarn *, repeat from *-* one more time, make a YO and pull yarn through all 3 sts on hook.

Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 72-80-88 sts on double pointed needles size 4 mm / US 6 with dark old rose.
ROUND 1-2: K all sts.
ROUND 3 to 6: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from *-* the entire round.
Then switch to double pointed needles size 4.5 mm / US 7 and continue in stockinette st and with STRIPES - read explanation above - until finished measurements.
When 12 stripes have been worked vertically, insert 4 markers 18-20-22 sts apart. Then dec on 1st round in next stripe as follows: Dec 2 sts before every marker - READ DECREASE TIP = 8 sts dec on round. Repeat dec on 1st round of every stripe (= dec every 6th round) until 8 sts remain on round (= 20-21-22 stripes in total), cut the yarn.
Pull yarn through the last sts and tighten tog.
Make 1 pompom of approx. 5-6 cm / 2''-2½'' in diameter with 1 strand red and 1 strand light olive. Sew the pompom on the top of the hat.

Cast on 6 sts on 1 double pointed needle size 4 mm / US 6 with light olive, distribute the sts on 3 double pointed needles and work in the round as follows:
ROUND 1: Work 2 sts in every st as follows: K 1 in front and back loop of same st = 12 sts on needle.
ROUND 2: K 1 round.
ROUND 3: Work 2 sts in every st as follows: K 1 in front and back loop of same st = 24 sts on needle.
ROUND 4-7: K all rounds.
ROUND 8: Work 2 sts in every st as follows: K 1 in front and back loop of same st = 48 sts on needle.
Bind off and work another eye the same way with red. Fasten a button on one eye and embroider a cross on the other. Fasten the eyes on the hat.

Cast on 15 sts with dark green on 1 double pointed needle size 4.5 mm / US 7.
Row 1-3: Work in stockinette st back and forth (1st row = WS).
Row 4 (RS): K 1, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, work until 3 sts remain, K 2 tog and finish with K 1.
Row 5: P all sts.
Repeat row 4 and 5 until 5 sts remain.
Work as follows from RS: K 1, slip 1 st as if to K, K 2 tog, psso, K 1 = 3 sts remain.
Work as follows from WS: Slip 1 st as if to P, P 2 tog, psso = 1 st. Cut the yarn and pull it through the last st.
Work another fin the same way, place them on top of each other, WS against WS and sew sides tog, fill with poly stuffing and sew tog cast-on edge. Work 2 more fins the same way and fasten them on hat.

Use hook size 5 mm / H/8 and work with off white or white.
Start mid back and work 1 round with sc along the cast-on edge, make sure to avoid a tight edge and make sure that no of sts is divisible by 6. Finish with 1 sl st in first sc.
Then work teeth as follows:
ROW 1: Work 1 sc in first sc, work the next 4 sc tog 2 by 2, finish with 1 sc in next sc, ch 1 and turn piece = 4 sc.
ROW 2: 1 sc in first sc, work 2 sc tog, 1 sc in the last of the 4 sc from previous row, ch 1 and turn piece = 3 sc.
ROW 3: 1 sc in first sc, work the last 2 sc from previous row tog, ch 1 and turn piece = 2 sc.
ROW 4: Work the 2 sc from previous row tog, cut the yarn and pull through st and fasten tightly.
Repeat ROW 1-4 along the entire cast-on edge.
