Hi I am having trouble with the briar rose pattern. After the 4 chains in round 3, do you just just start directly with a dc in the next chain loop. This is making a chain loop with four chains. Please help

Un collier de fleurs idéal pour mettre de la couleur sur une tenue un peu pâle, j'aime beaucoup ce style de collier très léger à porter et que l'on peut conjuguer dans beaucoup de couleurs aussi

Plaited DROPS necklace and bracelet with crochet summer flowers in ”Safran”.
DROPS 147-41 |
|
NECKLACE: Make a plait as explained below and place it tog into a necklace. Then crochet flowers as explained below. Sew the flowers on to plait where wanted (see picture – design in picture has 2 marguerite flowers, 1 large dahlia flower, 1 briar rose, 2 potentilla flowers, 1 kalanchoe flower and 1 leaf). PLAIT: Cut 18 strands off white of 150 cm / 59" each and place them tog. Take a new strand and wrap it tightly around these 18 strands , approx. 40 cm / 16" in from the end, fasten the wrap tightly (the 18 strands have now been locked). Divide the long strands for plait in 3 parts with 6 strands in each part and plait a classic plait until approx. 40 cm / 16" strands remain. Take a new strand and wrap it tightly around the end of plait the same way as on beg, fasten the wrap tightly. Make a loop with the plait that is big enough to pull over the head and fasten the plait tog at the front by tightly wrapping a strand around the same way as on the ends. Cut the yarn ends to desired length (the entire length on strands have been kept on the design in the picture). MARGUERITE FLOWER: Worked in the round. Ch 5 on hook size 3 mm / C with lime and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: ch 3 (= 1 dc), work 15 dc in ch-ring, switch to orange or strong yellow and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 16 dc. ROUND 2: * ch 7, work back in ch-row as follows: Beg in 2nd ch from hook and work 1 sc, in each of the next ch work: 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 tr, 1 dc and 1 sc. Work 1 sl st in next dc *, repeat from *-* 15 more times (= 16 times in total) and finish with 1 sl st in 1st ch from beg of round = 16 leaves. Fasten off. LARGE DAHLIA FLOWER: Worked in the round. Ch 5 on hook size 3 mm / C with strong yellow and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: ch 3 (= 1 dc), work 15 dc in ch-ring, switch to dark heather and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 16 dc. ROUND 2: ch 1, * in next dc work as follows: 1 sc, ch 7 and work back in ch-row as follows: Beg in 2nd ch from hook and work 1 sc in each of the next 6 ch *, repeat from *-* 15 more times (= 16 times in total) and finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round = 16 leaves. Fasten off. BRIAR ROSE: Worked in the round. Ch 5 on hook size 3 mm / C with yellow and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: ch 2 (= 1 hdc), work 13 hdc in ch-ring and finish with 1 sl st in 2nd ch from beg of round = 14 hdc. ROUND 2: * ch 3, skip 1 hdc, 1 sl st in next hdc *, repeat from *-* 6 more times (= 7 times in total) but switch to cerise when last sl st remains and finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round = 7 ch-spaces. ROUND 3: ch 1, in every ch-space work: 1 sc, ch 2, 3 tr, ch 1, 3 tr and ch 4. Finish round with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round = 7 leaves. Fasten off. POTENTILLA FLOWER: Worked in the round. Ch 4 on hook size 3 mm / C with brown and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: ch 1, * 1 sc in ch-ring, ch 2 *, repeat from *-* 4 more times (= 5 times in total), switch to strong yellow and work 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round = 5 ch-spaces. ROUND 2: ch 1, in every ch-space work: 1 sc, ch 1, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 1, 1 sc. Finish round with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round = 5 leaves. Fasten off. KALANCHOE FLOWER: Worked in the round. Ch 3 on hook size 3 mm / C with medium pink and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: ch 1, work 6 sc in ch-ring and finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round. ROUND 2: ch 1, * 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc in same ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round = 6 leaves. Fasten off. LEAF: Worked back and forth. * Ch 10 on hook size 3 mm / C with army green. Work back in ch-row as follows: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch, ch 1, 1 tr in next ch, 1 dtr in each of the next ch 2, 1 tr in next ch, 1 dc in next ch, ch 1, 1 hdc in next ch, 1 sl st in last ch *, repeat from *-* one more time = 2 leaves. Fasten off. ---------------------------------------------------------- BRACELET: Crochet 2 flowers as explained below. Sew the flowers tog with a couple of stitches so that the small dahlia flower is somewhat on top of the potentilla flower. Work 1 ch-band that measures approx. 30-35 cm / 11¾"-13¾". Cut yarn and fasten the tails in both ends. Work another ch-band the same way. Pull one ch-band through a st at the back of the dahlia flower. Pull the other ch-band through a st at the back of the potentilla flower. Each ch-band now lies double and function as a tie. SMALL DAHLIA FLOWER: Ch 4 on hook size 3 mm / C with strong yellow and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
