CROCHET INFO: Replace first sc a sc row/round with 1 ch.
Replace first dc a dc row/round with 3 ch.
Finish every dc round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Finish every sc round with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round.

DECREASE TIP: Work 1 dc but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), then work next dc but on last pull through, pull yarn through all sts on hook = 1 dc dec.
BERRY: All berries are worked with pink.
Work 1 dc but wait with last pull through = 2 sts on hook. Work 1 dc more in same st but wait with last pull through = 3 sts on hook. Do this 4 times in total = 5 sts on hook. Work 1 dc more in same st but on last pull through, pull yarn through all sts on hook. 1 berry = 1 dc on next row/round.

LOOPS: All loops are worked as follows in the same color as previous round. * Work ch 3, skip 1 st and work 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first ch on round.

CREAM EDGE: The cream edge is worked as follows in peach:
ROUND 1: * ch 4, work 2 dc in first ch, skip 2 sts and work 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round.
ROUND 2: Fold the loops from previous round towards you and work on the back. * ch 5, work 2 tr in first ch, skip 2 sts and work 1 sc in sc from previous round *, repeat from *-* the entire row/round and finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round.

PIECE OF CAKE:
Work the piece of cake back and forth at the top, then work in the round down the edge before working back and forth again at the bottom.

TOP:
The top is worked in vanilla yellow with pink berries on every other row with dc – NOTE! Make sure not to tighten the yarn at the back of piece.
ROW 1: ch 4 on hook size 3 mm / C with vanilla yellow. READ CROCHET INFO!
ROW 2: Beg in 2nd ch from hook and work 1 sc in each of the next 3 ch. Turn piece.
ROW 3: Work 2 dc in first sc, work 1 dc in next sc, work 2 dc in last sc = 5 dc. Turn piece.
ROW 4: Work 1 sc in every dc. Turn piece.
ROW 5: Work 2 dc in first sc, 1 dc in next sc, 1 BERRY - see explanation above, in next sc, 1 dc in next sc and 2 dc in last sc = 7 dc where 1 is berry. Turn piece.

ROW 20: (= WS) Switch to peach, hold piece with short side up and beg with 1 sl st in last row with sc on the right side of piece. Ch 4, work 2 dc in first ch, skip forward and work 1 sc in first dc on previous row (= short side of piece), * work ch 4, work 2 dc in first ch, skip 2 dc and work 1 sc in next dc *, repeat 7 more times but finish last time with 1 sc in the outermost st on the last row with sc on the left side of piece = 9 loops. Turn piece.
ROW 21: Fold the row with loops towards you and work on the back, * work ch 5, work 2 tr in first ch, work 1 sc in next sc from previous row *, repeat from *-* 8 more times but finish with 1 sl st in first ch from previous row = 9 loops.
Fasten off.

EDGE:
Then work around the top and down the sides as follows in vanilla yellow:
ROUND 22: (= RS) Beg in right side of short side in the first free dc from row 19. Work 1 sc in every free dc and 1 ch over every sc from previous row with loops on short side. On the long side ch 1 over sc from row with loops and work 2 sc in outermost st on every row with dc and 1 sc in outermost st on every row with sc. At the tip work in the underside of sc on row 2 as follows: 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in last sc. Then work along the other long side the same way and finish round with 1 ch and 1 sl st in first sc = 78 sts in total.
ROUND 23: Work 1 dc in every sc and 1 dc in every ch from previous round = 78 dc.
ROUND 24: Work LOOPS - see explanation above.
ROUND 25: Switch to light brown and work 2 dc in every free dc from round 23 = 78 dc.
ROUND 26: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 27: Work LOOPS.
ROUND 28: Switch to vanilla yellow and work 2 sc in every free dc from round 26 = 78 sc.
ROUND 29: Work 1 dc in each of the first 2 sc, * 1 berry in next sc, 1 dc in each of the next 5 sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round until 4 sc remain, work 1 berry in next sc and 1 dc in each of the next 3 sc = 78 dc where 13 are berries.
ROUND 30: Work 1 sc in every dc = 78 sc.
ROUND 31: Work LOOPS.
ROUND 32: Switch to light brown and work 2 dc in every free sc from round 30.
ROUND 33: Work LOOPS.
ROUND 34: Switch to peach and work 2 sc in every free dc from round 32 = 78 sc.
ROUND 35-36: Work CREAM EDGE – see explanation above, around the entire piece of cake = 26 loops on each round. Fasten off.

BASE:
From RS fold cream edge towards you. Beg in the right corner of short side in the first sc on round 34. READ DECREASE TIP!
ROW 37: With peach work 1 sl st and 3 ch in first sc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 free sc, 2 dc in each of the next 8 free sc, 1 dc in each of the last 3 free sc = 22 dc. Turn piece.
ROW 38: Work 1 sc in every dc. Turn piece.
ROW 39: Work 1 dc in first sc, dec 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 7 sc, dec 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 7 sc, dec 1 dc, 1 dc in last sc = 19 dc. Turn piece.
ROW 40: Work 1 sc in every dc. Turn piece.
ROW 41: Work 1 dc in first sc, dec 1 dc, 1 dc in every sc until the last 3 sc, dec 1 dc, 1 dc in last sc = 17 dc. Turn piece.
ROW 42: Work 1 sc in every dc. Turn piece.
ROW 43: Work 1 dc in first sc, dec 1 dc, 1 dc in every sc until the last 3 sc, dec 1 dc, 1 dc in last sc = 15 dc. Turn piece.

ROW 52: Work 1 sc in every dc. Turn piece.

ROW 54: Work 1 sc in every dc. Cut the yarn and pull it through the last st and fasten all yarns on the inside.

ASSEMBLY: Fasten the base to one long side with neat little stitches, fill the piece of cake with some poly stuffing and continue to sew around the tip and down the other long side.
