Yarn type
NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inch - click here. BOBBLE:
Work 1 tr – but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), work 3 tr the same way in the same st, pull yarn through all 5 sts on hook.

CROCHET TOG:
The flowers are worked tog in the picots. Work as follows in next sc: 1 sc, ch 2, work with WS against WS 1 sl st in the picot on next flower (on the next 2 flowers: work 1 sl st in the picots where the flowers are worked tog), ch 2, 1 sc in same st = 1 picot with crochet tog.

SCARF:
The scarf is worked in flowers and gradually worked tog.

FLOWER 1:
Worked in the round. Ch 6 with Delight on hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 and form a ring with 1 sl st in 1st ch.
ROUND 1: ch 1, 12 sc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in first sc.
ROUND 2: ch 1, 1 sc in 1st sc, * ch 3, 1 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the round = 12 sc and 12 ch-spaces.
ROUND 3: Sl st until 1st ch-space, ch 1, 1 sc in same ch-space, * ch 5, 1 BOBBLE - Read explanation above - in next ch-space, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the rest of round, finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc from beg of round (instead of 1 sc in next sc) = 6 bobbles and 12 ch-spaces.
ROUND 4: ch 8 (= 1st dc + 5 ch), * 1 sc in next bobble, ch 5, 1 dc in next sc, ch 5 *, repeat from *-* a total of 5 times, finish with 1 sc in last bobble, ch 5, 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 6 sc, 6 dc and 12 ch-spaces.
ROUND 5: Sl st until 1st ch-space, ch 1, 5 sc in ch-space, * in next sc work as follows: 1 sc, 5 ch and 1 sc (= 1 picot), 5 sc in next ch-space, skip next dc, 5 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* a total of 5 times, finish with 1 picot in last sc, 5 sc in next ch-space, 1 sl st in 1st sc from beg of round = 6 picots. Fasten off.

FLOWER 2:
Work ROUNDS 1 to 4 as FLOWER 1.
ROUND 5: Sl st until 1st ch-space, ch 1, 5 sc in ch-space, * in next sc work 1 sc, ch 5, 1 sc = 1 picot, 5 sc in next ch-space, skip next dc, 5 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times. In next sc work next picot tog with FLOWER 1 - Read CROCHET TOG above (= point a in diagram), 5 sc in next ch-space, skip next dc, 5 sc in next ch-space, work next picot in next sc tog with FLOWER 1 (= point b i diagram), 5 sc in next ch-space, finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc from beg of round = 6 picots. Fasten off.

FLOWER 3:
Work as on FLOWER 2 but work tog with FLOWER 2 on ROUND 5 at point c and d in diagram. FLOWERS 1, 2, and 3 = ROW A in diagram (1st row with flowers on scarf).

FLOWER 4:
Worked back and forth. Ch 6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in 1st ch.
ROW 1: ch 1, 10 sc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in first sc, turn.
ROW 2: ch 1, 1 sc in 1st sc, * ch 3, 1 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the row, turn = 10 sc and 9 ch-spaces.
ROW 3: Sl st until 1st ch-space, ch 1, 1 sc in same ch-space, * ch 5, 1 bobble in next ch-space, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the rest of the row, turn = 4 bobbles and 8 ch-spaces.
ROW 4: 6 ch (= 1st dc + 3 ch), * 1 sc in next bobble, ch 5, 1 dc in next sc, ch 5 *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, finish with 1 sc in next bobble, ch 3, 1 dc in last sc, turn = 4 sc, 5 dc and 8 ch-spaces.

Work ROUNDS 1 to 4 as FLOWER 1. Work FLOWER 5 tog with FLOWERS 4, 1, and 2 and on ROUND 5 as follows:
ROUND 5: Sl st until 1st ch-space, ch 1, 5 sc in ch-space, * in next sc work 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc = 1 picot, 5 sc in next ch-space, skip next dc, 5 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* 1 more time. In next sc work next picot tog with FLOWER 4 (= point g in diagram), 5 sc in next ch-space, skip next dc, 5 sc in next ch-space, work next picot in next sc tog with FLOWERS 4 and 1 (= point f in diagram), 5 sc in next ch-space, skip next dc, 5 sc in next ch-space, work next picot in next sc tog with FLOWERS 1 and 2 (= point a in diagram), 5 sc in next ch-space, skip next dc, 5 sc in next ch-space, work next picot in next sc tog with FLOWER 2 (= point h in diagram), 5 sc in next ch-space, finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc from beg of round = 6 picots. Fasten off.

FLOWER 6:
Work as FLOWER 5 but work tog with FLOWERS 5, 2, and 3 on ROUND 5 at point i, h, c and j in diagram.

FLOWER 7:
Work as FLOWER 4 but work tog with FLOWERS 6 and 3 on ROUND 5 at point k, j and l in diagram.
FLOWERS 4, 5, 6, and 7 = ROW B in diagram (2nd row with flowers on scarf).

FLOWER 8:
Work as FLOWER 2 but work tog with FLOWERS 4 and 5 on ROUND 5 at point m and n in diagram.

FLOWER 9:
Work as FLOWER 5 but work tog with FLOWERS 8, 5, and 6 on ROUND 5 at point o, n, i and p in diagram.

FLOWER 10:
Work as FLOWER 9 but work tog with FLOWERS 9, 6, 7 on ROUND 5 at point q, p, k and s in diagram.
FLOWERS 8, 9, and 10 = ROW C in diagram (3rd row with flowers on scarf). Repeat ROWS B and C (NOTE: Finish with ROW C) until piece measures approx. 200 cm / 39'' (or desired length).

FRINGES:
1 fringe = cut 8 strands of 40 cm / 16'', fold the strands double and pull loop through a ch-space and pull yarn ends through the loop.
Put a fringe in every ch-space on the outermost edge in each side of scarf.
