PATTERN:
See diagrams M.1 to M.3. Diagrams show the pattern from RS.
SEED ST:
Row 1: * K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*.
Row 2: K over P and P over K.
Repeat row 2.

FRONT PIECE:
Cast on 75 sts on needle size 4 mm / US 6 with 2 threads Alpaca. P 3 rows (first row = from WS) and continue in SEED ST - see above.
When piece measures 5 cm / 2'' P 3 rows (first row = from WS) and continue as follows: K1, M.1 on the next 72 sts and K2. Work 2 vertical repeats of M.1like this. K 3 rows and continue in SEED ST until piece measures 39 cm / 15 1/4''. P 3 rows (first row = from WS). Bind off loosely.
BACK PIECE:
Cast on 75 sts on needle size 4 mm / US 6 with 2 threads Alpaca. P 3 rows (first row = from WS) and continue in SEED ST. When piece measures approx 7 cm / 2¾'' work next row from RS as follows: 7 seed sts, bind off 1 st, * 14 seed sts, bind off 1 st *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times and finish with 7 seed sts. On next row cast on 1 new st over each bind off st = 5 buttonholes. Continue in seed st on all sts until piece measures 8 cm / 3 1/8''. Now slip the first 4 sts (from RS) on a stitch holder, bind off the next 67 sts and slip the last 4 sts on a stitch holder.
Cast on 67 sts on needle size 4 mm / US 6 with 2 threads Alpaca. K 12 rows (= button edge) and now slip the 4 sts each side on needle = 75 sts. Continue in Seed st on all sts until piece measures 39 cm / 15 1/4''. P 3 rows (first row = from WS). Bind off loosely.
ASSEMBLY:
Place the 2 pieces on top of each other, edge to edge, with RS facing out. Beg in a corner and crochet 1 sc through both layers with 2 threads Alpaca and crochet hook size 4 mm / G/6.
Continue as follows: * 1 ch, 1 sc through both layers *, repeat from *-* round the whole cover and finish with 1 ch and 1 sl st in sc from beg of round.
Cut and fasten thread. Sew buttons on button edge.
FLOUNCE BORDER:
Pick up 1 st in each sc and 1 st in each ch round the cover on circular needle size 4 mm / US 6 with 2 threads Alpaca.
Continue as follows in the round: K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME adjust no of sts to be divisible by 6. Now work 2 rounds rib, K3/P3, and continue in M.2 on all sts. After M.2 work 1 round rib, K5/P5, and now work M.3 on all sts. Work 1 round rib, K9/P9 and bind off loosely with K over K and P over P.
