Crochet tip: Finish each round with 1 sl st in first st on round. Replace first sc on round with 1 ch and replace first dc with 3 ch. To avoid too many thread ends, work ends into piece. Decreasing tip: Dec 1 sc as follows: Work 1 sc, but wait with the pull-through, (= 2 sts on hook), work the next sc and now pull thread through all 3 sts on hook. Square: Ch 3 with color-1 (see below) and form a ring with 1 sl st. Round 1 (color-1): 6 sc in ring. See Crochet tip! Round 2 (color-1): 2 sc in each sc = 12 sc. Round 3 (color -2): 2 dc in each sc = 24 dc. Round 4 (color -3): * 2 sc in first dc, 1 sc in each of the next 2 dc *, repeat from *-* = 32 sc. Round 5 (color -4): 1 sc in each of the first 4 sc, * 1 sc + 2 ch + 1 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 7 sc *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 1 sc + 2 ch + 1 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of the last 3 sc. Round 6 (color -5): 1 sc in each of the first 3 sc, * 1 tr in next hdc, 1 dc in next sc, 1 dc + 1 tr + 1 dc in ch-loop (= corner), 1 dc in next sc, 1 hdc in next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sc *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 1 hdc in next sc, 1 dc in next sc, 1 dc + 1 tr + 1 dc in ch-loop, 1 dc in next sc, 1 hdc in next sc, 1 sc in each of the last 2 sc, 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round. Cut the thread. Square colors: Square A: Color-1 = light beige mix, Color-2 = khaki, Color-3 = pink, Color-4 = dark pink mix, Color-5 = tan. Square B: Color-1 = lime, Color-2 = light beige mix, Color-3 = dark pink mix, Color-4 = purple, Color-5 = blue/violet. Square C: Color-1 = pink, Color-2 = blue/violet, Color-3 = lime, Color-4 = khaki, Color-5 = purple. Square D: Color-1 = lime, Color-2 = pink, Color-3 = blue/violet, Color-4 = tan, Color-5 = dark pink mix. Square E: Color-1 = pink, Color-2 = dark pink mix, Color-3 = khaki, Color-4 = blue/violet, Color-5 = tan. Square F: Color-1 = khaki, Color-2 = lime, Color-3 = purple, Color-4 = pink, Color-5 = dark pink mix. Square G: Color-1 = purple, Color-2 = khaki, Color-3 = pink, Color-4 = light beige mix, Color-5 = blue/violet. Square H: Color-1 = khaki, Color-2 = pink, Color-3 = dark pink mix, Color-4 = tan, Color-5 = purple. Square I: Color-1 = dark pink mix, Color-2 = light beige mix, Color-3 = lime, Color-4 = khaki, Color-5 = tan. BAG Crochet 2 squares in each color combination = 18 squares. Sew them tog 9 by 9 – see fig-1 – sew edge to edge. Now crochet the 2 parts tog along 3 sides as follows: Place parts on top of each other WS against WS and crochet 1 sc through each st through both layers with tan Snow. Now crochet a border along the opening at top with tan as follows: 12 sc in each square = 72 sc. Work 1 round of sc, at the same time dec evenly to 60 sc – see Decreasing tip! Now crochet 1 round with 1 sc in each sc. Cut the thread. STRAPS Work straps in tan. Beg 2 sc in from one side and work 1 sc in each of the next 5 sc. Work rows with 1 sc in each sc until strap measures approx 70 cm [27½"]. Cut the thread and sew the other end of strap to the other side of bag, 2 sc in from the side. Repeat the other side of bag. |
