HEAD BAND

Crochet gauge: 11 sc = 10 cm [4’’] in width
Crochet tip: Always substitute first sc in beg of row with 1 ch.

Head band: Crochet 13 ch (incl 1 ch to turn with) on crochet hook size 8 mm [US L/11] with Eskimo. Crochet 1 sc in 2nd ch from crochet hook. Continuing crochet 1 sc in each ch. Continue back and forth with 1 sc in each sc – read Crochet tip – until piece measures approx 46 cm [18’’] (or desired length). Cut yarn. Sew short sides tog at outermost edge on back.


SCARF

Knitting gauge: 10 sts x 14 rows stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm [4’’ x 4’’]

Scarf: Cast on 15 sts on 2 needle size 7 mm [US 10 ½] with Puddel (to ensure edge is elastic). Pull out one needle and K 1 row from WS. Then knit stockinette sts until piece measures approx 79 cm [31’’]. Knit 1 row garter st from WS. Then bind off loosely.

Crochet edge: Crochet one row around scarf with crochet hook size 7 mm [US K/10½] as follows: 1 sc, * 4 ch, skip approx 2 cm [3/4’’] and crochet 1 sc in next sts *, repeat from *-*.
