Knit the next row as follows (from the WS):
10 front band sts, Rib – see explanation above - over the next 40-44-48-52-60-64 sts, K2, M.1 (= 6 sts), Rib over the next 80-88-96-104-120-128 sts, K2, M.1 (= 6 sts), Rib over the next 40-44-48-52-60-64 sts and finish with K2 and 10 front band sts. Continue with Rib and M.1 for another 4-4-4-6-6-6 rows. Remember to bind off for button holes – see explanation above. On the next row (= RS) knit in reverse stockinette sts at the same time dec. 10-12-11-12-16-16 m evenly distributed on the back piece and 4-5-6-6-7-8 m evenly distributed on each front piece (knit M.1and front band as before – do not dec. over these sts) = 180-192-207-222-248-262 sts. Continue with reverse stockinette sts and M.1 at the sides. Remember the knitting gauge! When the piece measures 8 cm [3 1/8’’] dec. 1 st each side of the cable (M.1) on every 6½.-7.-7.-7½.-8.-8½ cm [2½”-2 ¾”-2 ¾”-2 7/8”-3 1/8”-3 ¼”] a total of 4 times = 164-176-191-206-232-246 sts. When the piece measures 29-31-31-33-33-35 cm [11 3/8”-12 ¼”-12 ¼”-13”-13”-13 ¾”] (adjust so the next row is the WS) K 1 row at the same time dec 4-2-3-4-2-2 sts evenly distributed over stockinette sts at the front and back pieces = 160-174-188-202-230-244 sts. Continue with M.2 over all sts and 10 front band sts each side mid front. Continue until 1 vertical repeat of M.2 is completed. K 1 row from the RS at the same time bind off 8 sts each side for the armholes (i.e bind off the cable + 1 st each side) = 144-158-172-186-214-228 sts. The piece measures approx 35-37-37-39-39-41 cm [13 ¾”-14½”-14½”-15 ¼”-15 ¼”-16 1/8”]. Put work aside and continue with the sleeves.

Knit round with double pointed needles. Cast on 52-52-52-56-56-56 sts with double pointed needles size 4.5 mm [US 7] and Silke Alpaca. Insert 1 MT (marking thread) at beg. of round (marks underneath the sleeve). K 1 round and continue next round as follows: Size S + M + L: K1 , P2, * K2, P2 * repeat from *-* over the next 20 sts, M.1 (= 6 sts), *P2 , K2 * repeat from *-* over the next 20 sts and finish with P2 and K1. Knit 4 round this way.
Size XL + XXL + XXXL: P1, * K2, P2 *, repeat from *-* over the next 24 sts, M.1 (= 6 sts), * P2, K2 *, repeat from *-* over the next 24 sts and finish with P1. Knit 6 round this way. Continue in reverse stockinette sts and M.1. At the same time on the first round dec. 6-6-4-4-4-4 sts evenly distributed (do not dec over M.1 and make sure to dec. the same number of sts each side of the MT) = 46-46-48-52-52-52 sts. When the piece measures 6-6-6-6-8-8 cm [2 3/8”- 2 3/8”- 2 3/8”- 2 3/8”-3 1/8”-3 1/8”] inc. 2 sts mid underneath the sleeve on every 4,5.-4,5.-3.-4.-2½.-2½.cm [1 ¾”-1 ¾”-1 1/8”-1½”-7/8”-7/8”] a total of 8-8-11-9-12-12 times = 62-62-70-70-76-76 sts (knit new sts in reverse stockinette sts). When the piece measures 39-40-39-40-39-39 cm [15 ¼”-15 ¾”-15 ¼”-15 ¾”-15 ¼”-15 ¼”] inc. 1-1-0-0-1-1 st = 63-63-70-70-77-77 m. Now knit M.2 over all sts. When1 vertical repeat of M.2 is completed K 1 round at the the same time bind off 8 sts mid underneath the sleeve = 55-55-62-62-69-69 sts. Put work aside. Knit 1 more sleeve.

Put the sleeves onto the same circular needle as the front and back pieces where bind off for armholes = 254-268-296-310-352-366 sts. At the same time when the piece measures 50-52-53-55-56-58 cm [19 ¾”-20½”-21”-21 5/8”-22”-22 ¾”] put 15 sts each side mid front on a thread or stitch holder. Then bind off each side towards the neck on every other row: 2 sts 3-3-3-3-2-2 times and 1 st 2-2-3-3-6-6 times. When M.3 is completed vertically (dec.for neck should now be completed) = approx. 70-78-76-84-90-98 sts left on needle. Knit 1 row with K over the cable sts and P over purl sts at the same time dec 1 st in each cable.

Pick up 24 to 28 sts (incl. sts from the thread or stitch holder) each side at the front neck. Knit 4 rows of gerter sts (1.row = WS) at the same time dec evenly to 86-90-94-98-102-106 sts (Note! Knit as before over the 10 front band sts). Knit 2 rows of stockinette sts. Knit the next row as follows: (from the WS): 10 front band sts, * K2, P2 *, repeat from *-* over the next 64-68-72-76-80-84 sts and finish with K2 and 10 front band sts.
