DROPS circular needle size 5.5 mm [US 9] (60 cm [24’’]) – for rib.
DROPS circular needle size 6 mm [US 10] (60 cm [24’’]) – or size needed to get 15 sts x 21 rows in stockinette st with 2 threads Kid Silk = 10 x 10 cm [4’’ x 4’’].

We are now sending the new fall/winter catalogs to our DROPS dealers. They are printed in a limited edition and and each catalog costs only 1£/$2 over the counter and 2£/$4 by mail order. DROPS fall/winter 09/10 collection is very varied. From fine to heavy, garments with texture and patterned. Jackets, sweaters, ponchos, shawls and lots of accessories. The designs are chosen on the basis of an overall assessment, where voting results and accompanying comments have been important.

Decreasing tip-1: Dec by P tog the last 2 sts in each P-section.

Decreasing tip-2: Dec by P tog the first 2 sts in each P-section.

Decreasing tip-3:
Dec as follows after Marking Thread (MT): Slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso.
Dec as follows before MT: K2 tog.

Increasing tip: Inc 1 st by making 1 YO. Work YO into back of loop on return row to avoid a hole.

NECK WARMER
Worked in the round on circular needle. Loosely cast on 210 sts on circular needle size 5.5 mm [US 9] with 2 threads Kid Silk. K 1 round and continue in rib, K2/P4 until piece measures 4 cm [1½”]. On next round dec 1 st in each P-section - see Decreasing tip-1 = 175 sts. Continue in rib, K2/P3, until piece measures 8 cm [3 1/8”]. On next round dec 1 st in each P-section - see Decreasing tip-2 = 140 sts. Continue in rib, K2/P2, until piece measures 12 cm [4 ¾”] and now change to needle size 6 mm [US 10]. K next round, at the same time dec 26 sts evenly (K tog approx every 4th and 5th st) = 114 sts. Insert 2 Marking Threads (MT) in piece, 1 at the beg of round and 1 after 57 sts. Continue in stockinette st. Remember the knitting gauge! When piece measures 18 cm [7”] dec 1 st on both sides of each MT - see Decreasing tip-3 = 110 sts. Repeat the dec when piece measures 24, 30 and 36 cm [9½”, 11¾” and 14¼”] = 98 sts. When piece measures 42 cm [16½”] inc 22 sts evenly –see Increasing tip = 120 sts. Change to needle size 5.5 mm [US 9] and continue in rib, K2/P2 until piece measures approx 48 cm [19”]. Bind off loosely in Rib.
