Buon lavoro!

Thank you! Just to clarify, the pattern uses "tc" a lot in the section "Inc:" and "Poncho." Each "tc" should be "dc?" It does also use some "dc", but I don't see any "tr," yet on the diagram, there are "tr." Please let me know. I look forward to the edit. Thank you! This is a beautiful pattern and I can't wait to make it!

Where the pattern starts with Inc: What is the "tc?" It is not referenced on the diagram either. Should this be "dc" or "tr?"
19.02.2014 - 19:20DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs McRoberts, there is a typo, it should be 11 dc/tr (US-English) in width x 7 rows = 10 x 10 cm. Pattern will be edited. Happy knitting!

Crochet tension: Remember hook size is only a guide. 11 treble crochets/double treble crochets in width and approx. 7 rows in height = 10 x 10 cm. Pattern: See Diag.1 - start at bottom of diagram. Stripes: See M.2 - start at bottom of diagram in correct size. 1 row of M.2 = 1 row in Diag.1. Crochet tip: Work between treble crochets/double treble crochets from previous round not in the stitches. Crochet info: At beginning of each round replace 1 treble crochet with 3 chain stitches and 1 double treble crochet with 4 chain stitches. Each round finishes with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd or 4th chain stitch at beginning of round. --------------------------------------------------------------- Poncho: The poncho is worked in the round from the neck down - Read Crochet tip and Crochet info; description of double treble crochet and half treble crochet - see page 2 (Crochet school). Work 138 (150) chain stitches with hook size 4.5 mm and off white and form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch. Round 1: 3 chain stitches (= 1 treble crochet), * skip 1 chain stitch, 1 treble crochet in next chain stitch *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 slip stitch in 3rd chain stitch at beginning of round = 69 (75) treble crochets on round. Read the whole of the next section before continuing! Now work Pattern according to Diag.1 at the same time as you work Stripes according to M.2. Increases: At the same time, on round 1 in Diag.1 increase by working 2 double treble crochets between every 3rd treble crochet to end of round = 92 (100) double treble crochets. Rounds 2 and 4 are worked without increases. On round 3 in Diag.1 increase by working 2 double treble crochets between every 4th double treble crochet to end of round, but 2 (1) times on the round increase 1 extra double treble crochet = 117 (126) double treble crochets. On round 5 in Diag.1 increase by working 2 treble crochets between every 9th double treble crochet on the round but 2 (4) times, evenly spaced on round, increase 1 extra treble crochet = 132 (144) treble crochets. Remember the crochet tension! The increases are now finished. Continue with Stripes and Pattern. When you have 6 (7) rows left in M.2 divide the piece for the split in each side = 66 (72) treble crochets in each side and continue working back and forth. When M.2 has been completed 1 time in height, piece measures approx. 33 (36) cm (or to desired length), cut the strand. Work a finishing lace edge along both sides with light beige as follows: Row 1: * 4 chain stitches, skip 2 treble crochets, 1 double crochet in next treble crochet *, repeat from *-* = 22 (24) chain-spaces in each side. Row 2: 1 chain stitch, then work as follows in each chain-space: 1 double crochet, 1 chain stitch, 1 half treble crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 double treble crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 half treble crochet, 1 chain stitch and 1 double crochet. Lace rows: Work 3 rounds of lace edges on the outside of the poncho as follows: Start at top between the off white and powder-pink stripes, fold the piece wrong side to wrong side in the transition between the 2 colours and work with light beige as follows: 1 double crochet around first double treble crochet, * 4 chain stitches, skip 1 double treble crochet, 1 double crochet around next double treble crochet *, repeat from *-* to end of round and finish with 4 chain stitches and 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch at beginning of round. The next lace row is worked in the same way with light brown between the peach and light stripes. The last lace row is worked with peach between the beige and brown stripes. |
