In other words, work with 1 ball of denim blue (color b) / red (color a)on each side of the reindeer and 1 ball of the pattern color in the middle. To avoid holes when changing color, twist the strands together when changing color. FRONT PIECE: Change to circular needle size 5 mm = US 8. Work 2-4-6-8-12-16 rows stockinette stitch with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! The next row is worked with denim blue (color b) as follows from the right side: Work 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, 11-13-15-17-19-21 stitches in stockinette stitch, work A.2 (= 30 stitches) – read PATTERN, work 11-13-15-17-19-21 stitches in stockinette stitch and finish with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. Continue this pattern. When the row with an arrow in A.2 has been worked change the background color from denim blue (color b) to red (color a). Continue the pattern in the same way with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side. When the piece measures 21-23-26-29-32-35 cm = 8 1/4”-9”-10 1/4”11 3/8”-12 1/2”-13 3/4” bind off 1 stitch at the beginning of the next 2 rows for the armholes = 52-56-60-64-68-72 stitches. Continue with stockinette stitch and A.2. When A.2 has been completed, continue with red (color a) over all stitches. AT THE SAME TIME when the piece measures 30-31-35-38-42-45 cm = 11 3/4”-12 1/4”-13 3/8”-15”-16 1/2”-17 3/4” place the middle 14-16-16-18-18-18 stitches on 1 thread for the neck and each shoulder is finished separately. Then bind off for the neck at the beginning of each row from the neck as follows: Bind off 2 stitches 1 time and 1 stitch 1-1-2-2-2-3 times = 16-17-18-19-21-22 stitches left on the shoulder. Continue until the piece measures 32-35-39-43-47-51 cm = 12 1/2”-12 3/4”-15 1/4”-17”-18 1/2”-20” – adjust so that the next row is worked from the wrong side. Knit 1 row from the wrong side, knit 1 row from the right side and knit 1 row from the wrong side. Bind off with knit from the right side. Work the other shoulder in the same way. The sweater measures approx. 33-36-40-44-48-52 cm = 13”-14 1/4”-15 3/4”-17 1/4”-19”-20 1/2” from the shoulder down. Diagram

Purl 1 row from the wrong side. Then work stockinette stitch with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, on each side. Increase like this every 2nd row a total of 20-21-23-25-27-29 times = 68-72-78-84-90-96 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! AT THE SAME TIME when you have increased 7-7-8-9-10-10 times on each side and there are 42-44-48-52-56-58 stitches on the needle, work pattern as follows: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, knit 1, 1 yarn over (= increase), knit 0-1-3-5-7-8, work A.1A (= 38 stitches) - read PATTERN above, knit 0-1-3-5-7-8 stitches, 1 yarn over (= increase), knit 1 and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch = 44-46-50-54-58-60 stitches. At the end of the next 2 rows cast on 4-5-5-5-7-9 stitches for the armhole on each side of the piece = 76-82-88-94-104-114 stitches. THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM HERE! Continue with stockinette stitch, pattern and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch on each side. When A.1a has been completed, work A.1b over A.1a. On the row with an arrow in A.1b change the background color to off white (color b) instead of red (color a) and the pattern will now be worked over 42 stitches. When A.1b has been completed in height continue with off white (color b), stockinette stitch and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch on each side until the piece measures 25-25-25-25-25-25 cm = 9 3/4”-9 3/4”-9 3/4”-9 3/4”-9 3/4”-9 3/4”. Now increase 16-18-20-22-24-26 stitches evenly on row = 92-100-108-116-128-140 stitches. Continue like this until the rib measures 6 cm = 2 3/8”. Bind off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The front piece measures 51-52-54-56-58-60 cm = 20”-20 1/2”-21 1/4”-22”-22 3/4”-23 5/8” from the neck down. Diagram
