Switch to circular needle size 4 mm and K 1 round while at the same time dec 24-24-28-28-32-32 sts evenly = 168-184-200-232-248-280 sts. Insert a marker at beg of round and a marker after 84-92-100-116-124-140 sts (these marks the sides). Continue in stocking st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
When piece measures 10-10-11-11-12-12 cm, dec 1 st on each side of both markers. Repeat dec every 3 cm a total of 4 times = 152-168-184-216-232-264 sts. When piece measures 38-39-40-41-42-43 cm, cast off 8-8-8-10-10-10 sts in each side for armholes (i.e. 4-4-4-5-5-5 sts on each side of both markers) = 152-168-184-212-228-260 sts remain on needle.
Put piece aside and work the sleeves.
