Knitting tension: 12 sts x 20 rows on needles size 6 mm in Ardesia and moss sts = 10 x 10 cm. 22 sts x 22 rows on needle size 4 mm in Alaska and Rib = 10 x 10 cm

Rib Ardesia: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*.

Rib Alaska: 1st row: K1, P1, 2nd row: K1 into back of sts, P1. Repeat 1st and 2nd row.

Moss sts: 1st row: K1, P1, 2nd and 4th row: P over P and K over K. 3rd row: P1, K1. Repeat 1st – 4th row.

Decreasing tips (apply to yoke in Alaska):
Dec as follows at the bottom of V-neck back and front and at top of each shoulder (= 4 dec per round): Knit until the 3 middle sts (the middle of these 3 sts should be a K st), put the middle st on cable needle in front of work, knit tog the 1st and 3rd st and pass over the st on cable needle. Repeat the dec (4 dec per round) on every round a total of 33 times.

Front piece: Cast on 66 (72) sts on needle size 3 mm with Ardesia and work 7 cm Rib. Change to needle size 6 mm and continue in moss sts. At the same time inc 1 st each side on every other row 8 times. When piece measures 23 (24) cm inc 4 sts each side on every other row a total of 8 times and then inc each side on every other row as follows: for size S/M: 6 sts 1 time and 7 sts 1 time, for size M/L: 6 sts 2 times. At the same time when piece measures 27 (28) cm cast off the 2 middle sts for V-neck and complete each side separately. Continue the inc at sides and dec to shape the V-neck as follows: dec 1 st on every and every other row alternately until there are 37 sts left on shoulder/sleeve. Cast off remaining 48 (50) sts when piece measures 55 (56) cm.

Back piece: Cast on and work like front piece.

Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams.

Yoke: Pick up 96 x 4 sts (= 384 sts) round the V-neck on circular needle size 4 mm with Alaska - make sure there is a K st mid front and mid back + at top of each shoulder. Work 15 cm Rib, at the same dec as described above in Decreasing tips. After 2 cm work 1 round in Ardesia, continue in Alaska and work another round in Ardesia when the Rib measures 14 cm, cast off.

If you want a collar, do not work the last round in Ardesia but continue in Alaska and dec until there are 88 sts on round. Continue for another 6 cm without dec and cast off loosely.
Sleeve edge: Pick up sts round sleeve edge with Ardesia and knit Rib (K1,P1) at the same time adjusting no of sts to 36 on first round. When Rib measures 5 cm work 1 round in Alaska, 2 rounds in Ardesia and cast off in Alaska.

Sew side seam in the outermost part of sts in order to avoid a chunky seam.
