I am trying to make the beautiful scarf Drops 110-8 and I can't get it. Can someone write it to me stitch by stitch in the each rows (like a U.S. pattern). I don't understand M1 across 9 stitches, and the pattern refers to sc, which is not in the body. Also I don't see where the textured pattern comes in. It's gorgeous and I so want to make it!

Dear Eddie, M.1 is worked on 9 sts in breadth : 1 tr, skip 3 sts and work in the 4th seven dc with picot, skip 3 sts, 1 tr. On next row, work a sc row with tips from crochet tip 2. Happy crocheting!

Crochet DROPS scarf with fan-pattern in 2 threads ”Alpaca”.
DROPS 110-8 |
||||||||||||||||
Crochet tip-1: Replace first dc on row with 1 ch. Replace first tr on row with 3 ch. Replace first dtr on row with 4 ch. Crochet tip-2: When working dc over dtr, work dc in the dtr, but when working dc over the picot in fan pattern, work dc between the tr. Make sure that the picot sits at the front of piece. Fan pattern: See diagram M.1. Textured pattern: Worked on all sts not included in M.1. The textured pattern follows the pattern in M.1, i.e. when working dc in M.1 work dc in textured pattern and when working fans in M.1 work dtr in textured pattern. Scarf: Crochet 36 ch (includes 3 ch to turn with) on crochet hook size 4.5 mm with 2 threads Alpaca. Work 1 tr in 4th ch from hook, 1 tr in each of the next 2 ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 tr in each of the next 4 ch *, repeat from *-* = 28 tr. Continue as follows (= the RS): See crochet info-1 and Textured pattern! 1 dtr in each of the first 3 tr, M.1 on the next 9 tr, 1 dtr in each of the next 4 tr, M.1 on the next 9 tr and 1 dtr in each of the last 3 tr on row. Continue like this – see Crochet info-2 - until scarf measures approx 170 cm (adjust to after a full pattern repeat). Work 1 tr in each dc = 28 tr. Cut the thread. Crochet border: Crochet a border round the whole scarf with crochet hook size 4.5 mm and 2 threads Alpaca as follows (beg at a corner): * 1 dc, 2 ch, skip approx 1 cm *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in dc from beg of round. Cut the thread and fasten. |
