Buon lavoro!

Dear Lauri, you increase a total of 15 times on every other round for body (size M), this means (1 round with increase, 1 round without increase) x 15 (- 30 rounds); then 7 times on every 4th round, and, at the same time, you will increase 23 times on every other round for sleeve and 3 times on every 4th round. This means you will first increase 8 sts on ever other round (body and sleeve), then increase alternately 4 sts and 8 sts (when increasing still on every other round on sleeve but on every 4th round on body). Make sure to increase in row like 1, 3, 5 in diagrams. Happy knitting!

Dear Ivy, right, to avoid this, increase as explained under RAGLAN/Increase every 4th round as follows: + Increase as follows, after the marker thread. Happy knitting!

I made my increases before and after each marker at the sleeve edges every even row 15 times (medium), ending with row 8. Now I’m on row 1. I’m supposed to follow the 4 line increase for the body while still increasing the sleeves every other row. What do you even mean by front/back? Does that mean on the body side of the markers? If so, the instructions have me doing work on both sides of the marker, which means the body and the sleeve. Also row 8 had a YO, so how can row 1 as well?
08.05.2019 kl. 13:38:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ivy, after you have increased 8 sts every other round a total of 15 times (size M), continue increasing 8 more times every other round on sleeves + 3 more times every 4th round (after the marker at beg of sleeve + before the marker at the end of sleeve) and increase at the same time on body 7 times every 4th round (= at the beg of the front/back piece + at the end of front/back piece). Hello, I am making size L and have a question regarding stitch counts. Once the 10 stitches are cast on for each armhole, the pattern states the stitch count should be 200. In other words, 4 stitches decreased a total of 5 times, for 20 stitches decreased?

Dear Teresa, you decrease the 4 sts on the sides a total of 4 times, so that you get 200 sts =- 16 sts = 184 sts. Happy knitting!

Do I knit a total of 17 rows ( which includes 8 increase rows) or do I knit a total of 34 rows (which includes 17 increase rows) prior to switching to the 4th row increase? Thank you for your time and patience and this beautiful pattern.

Hi Carol, You are now measuring from the marker thread at the armholes. When the piece measures 19 cm (in size L) you increase 1 stitch on either side of each marker thread in the sides (4 stitches increased) and then do the same every 2 cm a total of 6 times (so 5 more times). I hope this helps and happy knitting!

This is the most confusing pattern I've ever tried to make. There are several questions, but let's just start with the one about the first increases. I'm told to increase 20 stitches evenly on the last row of the two ridges - which would be a purl row? Really? Yes, it can be done, but it ain't pretty. Do you mean to complete the four ridge rows and do the increases on the next row?

Dear Mrs Jones-Pokorney, you will increase on the last row of the 2 ridges, ie on a Purl round, make a YO to increase 1 st and work this YO twisted on next round to avoid a hole. Happy knitting!

Dear Shay, the raglan inc on next round after inserting marking thread. Starting with 18 sleeve stitches. Marker, knit1, YO (raglan inc). Knit 2 tog, Yarn over (8times - A2). Then you need to do a YO, knit 1 for last raglan inc to make 20 stitches. That makes 2 YO's next to each other. If you don't do 2 yo's next to each oth r you end up with 19 stitches!!!

Dear Sue, the row with K2tog, YO, is not a row with increase for raglan, you should have increased on row before, then work row 2 in diagram as explained in previous answer (repeating K2 tog/YO the number of sts required as number of sts will inc). Happy knitting!

Dear Sue, you inc 1 st on first row in A.2, so that you will work the 12 sts between markers for sleeve as follows: marker, K1, YO, K10, YO, K1 (= 14 sts between markers). On row 2 in A.2 work: K2 (the first K1 + YO), (K2 tog, YO) x 6, K2 (the YO + last K1). Happy knitting!

Just to add the the last comment. I think the difficulty with this pattern is that the increases aren't so straight forward when they fall on the patterned round for the sleeves, and the instructions don't seem to account for this.

Secondly with the increases for the Raglan the pattern states that the increases are to be done every 2nd row, but it doesn't indicate which row to start the raglan increases on. Is it row 5 or row 6? Buonasera Tiziana.

Bon tricot!
