Here's the 5th clue for our Mystery Blanket CAL in an easy step by step. You can also find two videos for the whole clue at the bottom of this lesson!
Work 5 ch on hook size 3 mm with pink.
Form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Work 1 ch (= 1st sc), 11 sc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in first sc on round - READ COLOR CHANGE = 12 sc. Cut the yarn.
COLOR CHANGE:
When changing color work as follows: Before last pull through of last loop on hook, switch color, pull the last loop on hook through with the new color.
ROUND 2: Switch to light turquoise. Work 4 ch (= 1st tr).
ROUND 2: 3 tr in same st.
ROUND 2: Pull hook out of st and insert it in the 4th ch from RS (= 1st tr).
Pull hook then through last st again.
One YO.
Pull yarn through both sts on hook (= first flower leaf).
2 ch.
Work 4 tr in next st, pull hook out of st and insert it through first (of the 4 new) tr and in to last st.
One YO and pull yarn through both sts on hook = 2 leaf. Work 2 ch.
Complete description of ROUND 2:
ROUND 2: Switch to light turquoise. Work 4 ch (= 1st tr), 3 tr in same st, pull hook out of st and insert it in the 4th ch from RS (= 1st tr) and then through last st again, one YO and pull yarn through both sts on hook (= first flower leaf), * 2 ch, 4 tr in next st, pull hook out of st and insert it through first (of the 4 new) tr and in to last st, one YO and pull yarn through both sts on hook *, repeat from *-* in every sc the entire round and finish with 2 ch and 1 sl st at the top of first flower leaf on round – READ COLOR CHANGE = 12 flower leaves. ROUND 2: 3 ch (= 1 dc), work 1 dc in every hdc until 2 ch-loop in each corner, work (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in each corner around the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round = 48 dc, 4 ch-spaces.
ROUND 3: 3 ch (= 1 dc), work 1 dc in every dc until 2 ch-loop in each corner, work (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in each corner around the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round = 64 dc, 4 ch-spaces.
