Dear Mrs Dion, correct, on first row you will crochet in the same stitch on previous round: 2 dc, 3 chains, 2 dc; in the written pattern when it's written: first/next, this means the first time you work from *-* you work in the first stitch but then to the end of the round you will work in the next stitch. Happy crocheting!

Dear Jordan, The DROPS patterns are knitted and crocheted by thousands and thousands of people around the world. We understand however that in certain countries, with different knitting/crochet traditions than Scandinavia, our patterns might be written in a way that differs from what some are used to. But of course we want everyone to understand our patterns, so that’s why we have created an extensive library of tutorial videos as well as step by step lessons that explain how to follow the techniques we use and how to read the diagrams in our patterns. Give them a try!

Dear Mrs Morrison, I'm not sure which 3 chains you are talking about, do you mean the 3 chains the beg of the round, the one explained under CROCHET INFO ? Then yes these 3 chains are worked extra to the first treble of the round, they do not count in the number of stitches on the rounds. They are worked as usual at the beginning of a treble round but you just don't count them as a stitch. Hope this helps. Happy crocheting!

Bon crochet!

Au rang suivant, continuez comme le montre les diagrammes (= rang 2 de A2.a = sauter 1 b, ( 2b, 1 picot, 1 b) dans la b suivante, 1 ml, sauter 3b, (2b,1 picot, 1b) dans la b suivante, 1 ml. Dear Mrs Kirby, when working mesh pattern you have to inc at each marker, ie also on shoulders. Remember to be sure you have same number of tr between each marker. On last round you should then have 250 tr. Remember you will get any further individual help from your DROPS store. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Vorster, You only work the big diamond in A.2a and A.3a once. After that you work the the b-patterns until you will make the mesh pattern again. After the mesh pattern you work the a-patterns, but finish after 4th row of the a patterns. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Volonnino, on row 9 in A.2a you should have 4 tr and 4 ch in each repeat (16 repeats of A.2a on each side of A.3a) and you should have in each A.3a: 6 dc and 6 ch, 3 ch (middle ch-space) and 7 dc and 6 ch-spaces. Adjust number of inc to get 147 dc between each of the ch-spaces in A.3a at the end of row 9. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Volonnino, you have to inc a total of 16 sts on row 10 in A.2a/A.3a, ie on each side of each A.3a you inc 8 sts evenly. Row 10 is the last row in diagram (numbered as 11 in A.2a). Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Volonnino, my mistake, starting with 12th dc after corner on mid back, you will have 105 sts, work 13 x A.2a over the next 104 sts and then A.3a in the corner on mid front and continue with A.2a. Start with the 5 ch as stated in diagram, thes do not replace the first st on round. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Valonnino, you start A.1/A.2 in the 12th dc after mid back (the 12 dc will be worked at the end of round), 116 dc remain to next corner, repeat A.2a (8 sts) a total of 13 times (=over the next 116 dc), then work A.3a in the mid ch-space (mid front), repeat A.2a a total of 14 times, work A.3a in the mid ch-space (mid back) and finish with 1 repeat of A.2a and 1 sl st in the 4th ch from beg of round. Dear Mrs Volonnino, after you have the 234 dc + 2 ch-space, cut the yarn and join yarn with 1 sl st in 12th dc from ch-space on mid back and work A.1a (= on first row, work 4+1 ch to start round and at the end of round, work 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg), and repeat A.2a a total of 13 times in width then work A.3a in the corner (mid front), repeat then A.2a a total of 14 times, work A.3a in the corner (mid back) and finish round with A.2a 1 time. Dear Christina, for size S/M for example, you have to work as follow: " Work 153 ch on hook size 4.5 mm with Paris and form a ring with 1 sl st. Work 3 ch – see CROCHET INFO! Dear Gina, you should have a total of 250 sts on next round after the 8 round with inc in mesh pattern - remember to work the 8 rounds as stated, you will inc sts and should get on last round (8th round in 2nd size) 31 dc between each marker (+ the inc: 1dc,3ch, 1 dc in the corners/at the markers). Then work as explained and remember to dec 4 dc evenly between mid back/mid front = 125 dc between mid front and mid back. Happy crocheting!

Hoi Jess.

Dear Mrs Volonnino, you can either work 3 ch at beg of every round to replace 1st dc or work 3 ch at beg of round and continue in pattern but these 3 ch will not replace the first st on row, it's often a matter of personnal choice. Happy crocheting!
