Hei Matilda. Nei.

Bon crochet!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- CROCHET TIP FOR CHAIN STITCH: If you work at the end of crochet hook the chain stitch will often be too tight. 1 chain stitch should be just as long as 1 single crochet/treble crochet is wide. CROCHET INFORMATION: At beginning of every round with treble crochets worked work 4 chain stitches, these chain stitches do not replace 1st double crochet. Finish round with 1 slip stitch in 4th chain stitch at beginning of round. At beginning of every round with single crochet work 1 chain stitch, this chain stitch does not replace 1st single crochet. Finish round with 1 slip stitch in first single crochet on round PATTERN: See diagram A.1. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work in the round top down. HAT: Work 4 chain stitches - read CROCHET TIP FOR CHAIN STITCH, on hook size 3.5 mm = US E/4 with 1 strand Flora and 1 strand Kid-Silk, and form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain. ROUND 1: Work 6 single crochets in chain stitch ring – READ CROCHET INFORMATION. ROUND 2: Work 2 single crochets in every single crochet = 12 single crochets. ROUND 3: Work 2 single crochets in every single crochet = 24 single crochets. ROUND 4: * 1 single crochet in next single crochet, 2 single crochets in next single crochet*, work from *-* = 36 single crochets. ROUND 5: * 1 treble crochet in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 treble crochets in next stitch *, work from *-* = 48 treble crochets. ROUND 6: 1 single crochet in every treble crochet. ROUND 7: * 1 treble crochet in each of the next 3 stitches, 2 treble crochets in next stitch *, work from *-* = 60 treble crochets. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! ROUND 8: 1 single crochet in every treble crochet. ROUND 9: * 1 treble crochet in each of the next 4 stitches, 2 treble crochets in next stitch *, work from *-* = 72 treble crochets. ROUND 10: 1 single crochet in every treble crochet. ROUND 11: * 1 treble crochet in each of the next 5 stitches, 2 treble crochets in next stitch *, work from *-* = 84 treble crochets. Now work in the different sizes as follows: Size S/M: ROUND 12: * 1 single crochet in each of the next 20 stitches, 2 single crochets in next stitch *, work from *-* = 88 single crochets. SIZE M/L: ROUND 12: 1 single crochet in every treble crochet. ROUND 13: * 1 treble crochet in each of the next 6 stitches, 2 treble crochets in next stitch *, work from *-* = 96 treble crochets. ROUND 14: 1 single crochet in every treble crochet. Now work both sizes as follows: Continue in the round with every other round with single crochets and treble crochets. When piece measures 23-25 cm = 9"-9 3/4", turn piece so that right side is inwards (this is done so that right side of folding edge is on the right side when hat is finished). Then work pattern A.1 in the round on round – read CROCHET INFORMATION. Repeat the last 2 rounds until hat measures 33-35 cm = 13"-13 3/4" in total from the top down. Cut and fasten the yarn. Hat measures approx. 23-25 cm = 9"-9 3/4" with 10 cm = 4” fold at the bottom. |
