Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. Gauge: 23 sts and 30 rows on larger needles in pattern = 10 x 10 cm

Garter Stitch, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.
Garter Stitch, when knitting in the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, purl *. Repeat from * - *.

Pattern:
1st and 3rd rows (right side): K 1, *yo, sl 1, K 2 tog, psso, yo, K 5 *, repeat from * - * until 4 sts remain, yo, sl 1, K 2 tog, psso, yo, K 1.
2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th rows (wrong side): purl all sts.
5th row: K 1, *K 3, yo, sl 1, K 1, psso, K 1, K 2 tog, yo *, repeat from * - *, knit 4.
7th row: K 1, * yo, sl 1, K 2 tog, psso, yo, K 1, yo, sl 1, K 2 tog, psso, yo, K 1 *, repeat from * - *, yo, sl 1, K 2 tog, psso, yo, K 1.
Repeat 1st-8th rows continuously.

Front: Cast on 117 (125-133) sts on smaller needles and knit garter st for 1 cm. Change to larger needles and knit Pattern. When the work measures 30 (32-33) cm, bind off for armholes on each side every other row: 3 sts 2 times, 2 sts 3 times, dec 1 st 2 times, and then dec 1 st every 4th row 2 = 85 (93-101) sts. When the work measures 47 (49-51) cm bind off the center 29 (31-33) sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, dec 1 st 2 times. Bind off when the work measures 52 (54-56) cm.

Back: Make identical to front until armhole shaping is complete. Work even until the piece measures 50 (52-54) cm, bind off the center 41 (43-45) sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 1 time, dec 1 st 1 time. Bind off all sts when the work measures 52 (54-56) cm.

Sleeves: Cast on 77 (77-85) sts on smaller needles and knit garter st for 1 cm. Change to larger needles and knit Pattern to finished dimensions. At the same time, after the garter st rows, inc 1 st on each side 10 (11-9) times:
Sizes S+M: alternately every and every other row
Size L: every row
= 97 (99-103) sts. When the work measures 8 (7, 6) cm, bind off for sleeve caps on each side every other row: 3 sts 3 times, 2 sts 13 times, 3 sts 2 times, bind off all sts. The work measures approx. 20 (19, 18) cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx. 110-120 sts around the neck on double pointed needles; join and knit 1 cm garter st, bind off. Sew on the sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seam in one.
