Hej Älskar detta mönster men har fastnat. Men har fastnat här. För varje gång A.6/A.8 är färdigvirkat på höjden, upprepas A.6/A.8 på höjden på varje sida av A.7, de resterande maskorna över A.6/A.8 virkas i A.4.

Grazie

In the BODY section, how do I know whether to choose A.10a or choose A.10b? Same question regarding A.11a and A.11b. There are no markings referring to size (S-M-L or X-XXL-XXXL) or anything else to distinguish a difference.
26.10.2019 - 15:38DROPS Design answered:
Hello Cathy! You have to choose the round in the diagram to match and continue the pattern from the yoke. Look which one matches your pattern better. Happy crocheting!

In the BODY section, What is the sequence of working each section (A.1-A.9) along with the additional 6 underarm chain stitches? The instructions say: Work 1 round with pattern as before and 1 single crochet/treble crochet (to fit into the pattern) in each chain stitch under the sleeve. -- what is the exact sequence since the 6-chain-stitches appears to interrupt a continuous flow.
26.10.2019 - 15:15DROPS Design answered:
Dear Cathy, on first round on body, just crochet the first round as before either in single crochet or treble crochets, the 6 chains under sleeves should be worked the same way as the stitches from the round. Happy crocheting!

Hi, the first row is correct with 100 stitches. What I am referring to is the 2nd row though. 2nd row is worked over the stitches as follows: A1 - 1 (3st in 1), A2 - 1 (3st in 1), A3 - 1(3st in 1), A4 - 2, A5 - 18, A6 - 3 (1 , 3in 1, 1), A7 - 1, A8 - 3 (1, 3 in 1, 1), 9 - 18. 1+1+1+2+18+3+1+3+18= 48 x2 =96. This leaves me with 4 stitches empty at the end. Please let me know if I'm reading the charts incorrectly :)
23.10.2019 - 19:53DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ana, when counting the number of stitches at the end of first row I do get 58 sts x 2 = 1126 sts over 50 x 2 = 100 sts: A.1 = 1 st + A.2 = 1 st + A.3 = 1 st = sleeve: worked over 3 sts, then: A.4 = 2 sts + A.5a = 18 sts + A.6 = 3 sts + A.7 = 1 st + A.8 = 3 sts + A.9a = 18 sts + A.4 = 2 sts = 2+18+3+1+3+18+2= 47 sts so that you have 3 + 47 = 50 x 2 = 100 sts. Happy crocheting!

I'm working the XL size of the pattern (100 chain) and when working the 2nd round (not counting the chain) I'm getting 96 crochets and there are 4 spaces left. I have counted the number of crochets needed to be made and it's 96 as well. Is there a possibility that instructions for A.4 should be 2-2-4-4-2-4 instead of 2-2-4-2-2-4?
22.10.2019 - 23:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ana, you are supposed to work the 100 stitches on first row in diagrams: A.1 (=1 st), A.2 (= 1 st), A.3 (= 1 st), A.4 (= 2 sts), A.5a (= 18 sts), A.6 (= 3 sts), A.7 (= 1 st), A.8 (= 3 sts), A.9a (= 18 sts), A.4 (= 2 sts) = 1+1+1 + 2+18+3+1+3+18+2= 50 sts x 2 = 100 sts. Happy crocheting!

The first row of charts A.5a and A.9.a is the treble crochet stitch, however, the 10th row of A.1-A.4 and A.6-A.8 is single crochet stitch. So, since A.5.a through A.5.b and A.9.a through A.9.b only have 9 rows, should a row of single crochet be done across those 17 stitches when doing the 10th rows of A.1-A.4 and A.6-A.8 -- or do you start A.5.a which would cause a height difference between the treble crochets of A.5.a and A.9.a Row 1 with the single crochets of A.1-A.4 and A.6-A.8 Row 10.
18.10.2019 - 15:28DROPS Design answered:
Dear Cathy, when you work 10th row in A.1-A.4/A.6-A.8 you are working a sc-row, When you have finished A.5a, you then work A.5b (= first row in A.5b = 6th row in A.1), when A.5b is finished (= last row = 9th row = treble crochet row), on next row, work repeat A.5b = first row in A.5b = sc row, as 10th row in A.1. Happy crocheting!

Buona sera.

Buon lavoro!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- CHAIN STITCH: If you work outermost on the hook the chain stitch will often be too tight; 1 chain stitch should be as long as 1 single crochet is wide. CROCHET INFORMATION: At the beginning of each round of treble crochets, replace the first treble crochet with 4 chain stitches. The round finishes with 1 slip stitch in the 4th chain stitch at the beginning of the round. At the beginning of each round of single crochets, replace the first single crochet with 1 chain stitch. The round finishes with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch at the beginning of the round. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.13. Choose diagram for your size. DECREASE TIP-1 (for sides): Only decrease on rounds of treble crochets! Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker in the side as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker, work A.13 (= 3 stitches), marker here, work A.12 (= 3 stitches). DECREASE TIP-2 (for sleeves): Only decrease on rounds of treble crochets! Work 1 treble crochet in each of the first 2 single crochets, work the next 2 treble crochets together (= 1 stitch decreased), work 1 treble crochet in each single crochet until there are 4 single crochets left on the round, work the next 2 treble crochets together (= 1 stitch decreased), work 1 treble crochet in each of the last 2 single crochets. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SWEATER – SHORT OVERVIEW ON THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round, top down. The yoke is worked first, then divided for body and sleeves which are continued separately in the round. YOKE: Work 88-88-96-100-100-108 chain stitches – read CHAIN STITCH, with hook size 4.5 mm = US 7 and Merino Extra Fine and form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch. Work 1 single crochet in each chain stitch to the end of the round - read CROCHET INFORMATION = 88-88-96-100-100-108 single crochets. WORK PATTERNS A.1 – A.9 AS FOLLOWS: Insert 4 marker threads (allow them to follow your work onwards) at the same time as you work in the round as follows: * Insert a marker thread, work A.1 over the first stitch, A.2 over 1 stitch and A.3 over 1 stitch (= sleeve), marker thread, work A.4 over 2-2-4-2-2-4 stitches, A.5a over 17-17-17-18-18-18 stitches, A.6 over 1-1-1-3-3-3 stitches, A.7 over 1 stitch (= mid-stitch), A.8 over 1-1-1-3-3-3 stitches, A.9a over 17-17-17-18-18-18 stitches and A.4 over 2-2-4-2-2-4 stitches (= front/back piece) *, repeat from *-* 1 more time. Continue this pattern but only work A.2 as far as the arrow for your size, then work A.4 over these stitches. When A.5a and A.9a have been completed work A.5b and A.9b and then repeat these patterns onwards in height. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! Continue until A.1, A.3, A.6, A.7 and A.8 have been completed in height. There are 29-31-39-37-33-31 stitches on each sleeve and 75-75-79-81-81-85 stitches on the front and back pieces. The piece measures approx. 14 cm = 5 1/2”, measured along the shoulder. REPEAT PATTERNS A.1 – A.9 AS FOLLOWS: The first round is worked as follows: * A.1 over the first stitch, A.4 over 27-29-37-35-31-29 stitches and A.3 over 1 stitch (= sleeve), work A.4 over 2-2-4-2-2-4 stitches, A.5b over 17-17-17-18-18-18 stitches as before, A.4 over 17 stitches, A.6 over 1-1-1-3-3-3 stitches, A.7 over 1 stitch (= mid-stitch), A.8 over 1-1-1-3-3-3 stitches, A.4 over 17 stitches, A.9b over 17-17-17-18-18-18 stitches as before and A.4 over 2-2-4-2-2-4 stitches (= front/back piece) *, repeat from *-* 1 more time. Continue this pattern until the piece measures approx. 22-24-25-27-29-31 cm = 8 3/4”-9 1/2”-9 3/4”-10 5/8”-11 3/8”-12 1/4” from the cast-on edge, measured along the shoulder (i.e. approx. 7-9-10-12-14-15 rounds after the first repeat of A.1 – A.9). NOTE: Each time A.6/A.8 are finished in height, repeat A.6/A.8 in height on each side of A.7; the remaining stitches over A.6/A.8 are worked in A.4. There are now 45-51-59-61-61-63 stitches on each sleeve and approx. 95-101-107-115-119-127 stitches on both the front and back pieces = a total of approx. 280-304-332-352-360-380 stitches. Now divide the piece for body and sleeves as follows: Work 6-6-6-8-10-12 chain stitches, skip the sleeve stitches (= approx. 45-51-59-61-61-63 stitches), work the front-piece stitches as before (= approx. 95-101-107-115-119-127 stitches), work 6-6-6-8-10-12 chain stitches, skip the sleeve stitches (= approx. 45-51-59-61-61-63 stitches) and work the back-piece stitches as before (= approx. 95-101-107-115-119-127 stitches). There are now approx. 202-214-226-246-258-278 stitches on the round (= approx. 101-107-113-123-129-139 stitches on the front and back pieces). BODY: Work 1 round with pattern as before and 1 single crochet/treble crochet (to fit into the pattern) in each chain stitch under the sleeve. Cut the strand, and move the beginning of the round to mid under the one sleeve. Insert 1 marker mid under both sleeves. Then work pattern as before, but decrease stitches in both sides as follows: * Work A.4 over 2-2-4-4-5-8 stitches, A.10a or A.10b (choose the round in the diagram to match and continue the pattern from the yoke) over 11 stitches, work pattern as before; i.e. continue to increase on each side of A.7 (as shown in patterns A.6 and A.8) until there are 13-13-15-15-16-19 stitches left before the marker in the side, work A.11a or A.11b (choose the round in the diagram which matches and continues the pattern from the yoke) *, work from *-* 1 more time. Continue this pattern; i.e. on every round of treble crochets increase stitches on each side of A.7 as shown in patterns A.6 and A.8 (= 8 treble crochets increased on the round) and decrease stitches in A.10 and A.11 (= 4 treble crochets decreased on the round). When A.10 and A.11 have been completed in height decrease 2 stitches on each side of the piece (= a total of 4 stitches each round) to finished length – read DECREASE TIP-1. Work until the piece measures approx. 25-25-26-26-26-26 cm = 9 3/4”-9 3/4”-10 1/4”-10 1/4”-10 1/4”-10 1/4” from the division, measured along the side at the shortest point – adjust to after a round of single crochets (approx. 11 rounds of treble crochets = 11 increases). Now work an edge as follows: Work * 1 single crochet, 3 chain stitches, skip 1 cm = 3/8” *, work from *-* to end of round, adjust so you finish with 3 chain stitches and 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet. Make sure the edge is not tight; skip less stitches if necessary. Cut and fasten all strands. The sweater measures approx. 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm = 19 3/4"-20 1/2"-21 1/4"-22"-22 3/4"-23 5/8" measured from the shoulder down, at the shortest point. SLEEVE: Fasten the strand with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch under the sleeve, work 1 single crochet/treble crochet in each of the 2-2-2-3-4-5 chain stitches under the sleeve (whether you work single crochets or treble crochets depends on where you are in the pattern), work 1 single crochet/treble crochet in each of the approx. 45-51-59-61-61-63 stitches skipped for the sleeve and finish with 1 single crochet/treble crochet in each of the last 3-3-3-4-5-6 chain stitches under the sleeve = approx. 51-57-65-69-71-75 single crochets/treble crochets. Continue in the round according to A.4. When the sleeve measures 2 cm = 3/4”, decrease 2 stitches in the sleeve - read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 5-3-2½-2½-2½-2 cm = 2”-1 1/8”-1”-1”-1”-3/4” a total of 8-11-13-13-14-15 times = approx. 35-35-39-43-43-45 stitches. Continue with pattern until the piece measures 43-42-41-40-38-37 cm = 17”-16 1/2”-16 1/8”-15 3/4”-15”-14 1/2” (or to desired length – NOTE: Shorter measurements in larger sizes due to wider neck and longer yoke) – adjust to after a round of single crochets. Now work an edge around the sleeve as follows: Work * 1 single crochet, 3 chain stitches, skip 1 cm = 3/8” *, work from *-* around the whole sleeve, adjust so you finish with 3 chain stitches and 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet. Cut and fasten the strand Work the other sleeve in the same way. NECK: Work an edge around the neck as follows: Start mid-top of shoulder and fasten the strand with 1 slip stitch in 1 stitch, work * 1 single crochet in the next stitch, 3 chain stitches, skip 1 cm = 3/8” *, work from *-* to end of round; adjust so you finish with 3 chain stitches and 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet. Make sure the edge is not tight; skip less stitches if necessary. Cut and fasten the strand |
