Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. Gauge: 15 sts x 22 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See chart (1 chart = 1 repeat).

Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.
Garter st, when knitting in the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, purl.* Repeat from * - *.

Rib 1: * P 1, K 3, P 1 *. Repeat from * - *.
Rib 2: * P 1, K 7, P 1 *. Repeat from * - *.

Body: Cast on 150 (160-170) sts on circular needles with 1 strand rust red Paris and 1 strand bordeaux Cotton Viscose; join and place a marker at the join. Knit Rib 1 in Pattern 1. After Pattern 1 is complete knit the rest with the last colors of Pattern 1. At the same time, when the work measures 21 (23-26) cm, knit the next row as follows: bind off 2 sts for armhole, 71 (76-81) sts for the front, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 71 (76-81) sts for the back, bind off 2 sts for armhole. Knit the rest of each part separately.

Front: = 71 (76-81) sts. Bind off for armholes at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 1 (2-2) times = 59 (62-67) sts (including 1 edge st at each side which is knit in garter st throughout). When the work measures 34 (37-40) cm, put the center 11 (12-13) sts on a stitch holder for the neck. Bind off at each neck edge every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times. Bind off when the work measures 42 (45-48) cm. Approx. 14 (17-20) cm of the last color in Pattern 1 has been knit.

Back: = 71 (76-81) sts. Bind off for armholes at each side as on the front = 59 (62-67) sts (including 1 edge st at each side which is knit in garter st throughout). When the work measures 40 (43-46) cm put the center 25 (26-27) sts on a stitch holder for the neck. Bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 1 time. Bind off when the work measures 42 (45-48) cm.

Right sleeve: Cast on 72 (72-72) sts on double pointed needles with 1 strand rust red Paris/1 strand bordeaux Cotton Viscose. Join and place a marker at the join. Knit Rib 2, then Pattern 2. After finishing Pattern 2 knit the rest with the last colors in Pattern 2. When the work measures 6 cm, dec 8 sts evenly distributed on the row as follows: * P 1, K 5, K 2 tog, P 1 * , repeat * - *. When the work measures 9 cm dec 8 sts evenly distributed on the row as follows: * P 1, sl 1, K 1, pass the slipped st over (psso), K 4, P 1 * , repeat * - *. When the work measures 12 cm, dec 8 sts evenly distributed on the row as follows: * P1, K 3, K 2 tog, P 1 * , repeat * - *. When the work measures 15 cm dec 8 sts evenly distributed on the row as follows: * P 1, sl 1, K 1, psso, K 2, P 1 * , repeat * - *, = 40 (40-40) sts. Change to Rib 1. At the same time when the work measures 15 cm , inc 1 st each side of marker 10 (12-12) times:
Size S: every 6th row
Size M/L: every 5th row
Size XL: alternately every 4th and 5th row
= 60 (64-64) sts. Knit the increased sts into Rib 1 as you go along. When the work measures 46 (46-44) cm bind off 2 sts each side of marker and knit the rest back and forth on the needles. Bind off for sleeve caps at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 (2-2) times, 1 st 10 (8-10) times, 2 sts 2 (3-2) times, 3 sts 1 time, bind off. The work measures approx. 59 (59-58) cm.

Left sleeve: Cast on and knit as for the right, but knit Pattern 3 instead of Pattern 2. After finishing Pattern 3 knit the rest with the last color in Pattern 3.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Put all neck sts from the st holders on double pointed needles and pick up sts with 1 strand rust red Paris/ 1 strand bordeaux Cotton Viscose for a total of 70-80 sts (divisible by 10) on the needles. Join and knit Rib 1 (continue rib pattern from the body over the center sts at the front and back). Bind off when the rib measures 2 cm.
Sew on the sleeves.

Goedemiddag, Is garen Paris 46 roest uit de collectie? Kan nergens op de site deze wol vinden?

Hoi Wiesje, Ja helaas is deze uit de handel en de roest van Cotton viscose ook. Het beste is om even bij een verkooppunt te kijken wat je het beste alternatief vindt qua kleur, omdat de alternatieven neigen naar bruin of oranje en dat heeft een heel ander effect in combinatie met de andere kleuren uit het patroon. Hopelijk vind je een alternatief!
