EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN:

----------------------------------------------------------

GARTER STITCH (back and forth):
1 ridge = knit 2 rows.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 to A.6. Choose diagram for your size.

INCREASE TIP:
Work until 2 stitches remain before marker thread, 1 yarn over, knit 4 stitches (marker thread is in the middle of these stitches), 1 yarn over. On next round knit yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. The new stitches are worked in stocking stitch.

----------------------------------------------------------

START THE PIECE HERE:

----------------------------------------------------------

JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
Work front and back piece back and forth on circular needle. Sleeves are worked in the round on double pointed needles/a short circular needle up to armhole. Then work sleeve cap back and forth. NOTE: On all length measurements on garment measure on the shortest part of the wave pattern, i.e. where the wave pattern goes upwards (seen as the garment is worn).

FRONT PIECE:
Cast on 65-67-73-77-85-89 stitches on circular needle size 10 mm with 2 strands Air. Knit 3 rows. Now work pattern from right side as follows (choose diagram for your size): 1 edge stitch in GARTER STITCH – read explanation above, 3-4-7-9-9-11 stitches in stocking stitch, A.1 (= 7-7-7-7-8-8 stitches), A.2 (= 14-14-14-14-16-16 stitches) 3 times in width, A.3 (= 8-8-8-8-9-9 stitches), 3-4-7-9-9-11 stitches in stocking stitch, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. On first row in diagram decrease 8 stitches in total on row = 57-59-65-69-77-81 stitches. Continue pattern back and forth like this. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When diagrams have been worked vertically, repeat the last 4 rows in diagrams vertically.
When piece measures 31-32-33-34-35-36 cm, cast off stitches for armhole and work pattern as follows: Cast off stitches at beginning of every row in each side for armhole as follows: Cast off 2 stitches 1-1-2-2-2-3 times and 1 stitch 2-2-2-3-5-4 times = 49-51-53-55-59-61 stitches, AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 32-34-35-37-36-38 cm (adjust to finish after the last 4 rows in A.1, A.2 and A.3 vertically) work A.4 over A.1, A.5 over A.2 and A.6 over A.3. When all rows in diagrams A.4, A.5 and A.6 are done vertically, piece measures approx. 40-42-43-45-46-48 cm.
Now work in stocking stitch with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side until finished measurements. When 4 rows in stocking stitch have been worked after A.4, A.5 and A.6, slip the middle 9-9-9-11-11-11 stitches on a stitch holder for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Then cast off stitches on every row from neck as follows: 3 stitches 1 time and 2 stitches 1 time = 15-16-17-17-19-20 stitches. Continue to work until piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm. Cast off - make sure that the cast-off edge is not too tight. Work the other shoulder the same way.

BACK PIECE:
Cast on and work pattern as on front piece and cast off stitches for armhole the same way as on front piece. When A.4, A.5 and A.6 have been worked vertically, continue as follows: Work in stocking stitch with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side until 10 rows have been worked after diagrams. On next row cast off the middle 17-17-17-19-19-19 stitches for neck and finish each shoulder separately. On next row from the neck, cast off 1 stitch = 15-16-17-17-19-20 stitches. Continue to work until piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm. Cast off - make sure that the cast-off edge is not too tight. Work the other shoulder the same way.

SLEEVE:
Cast on 20-22-24-24-24-26 stitches on double pointed needles size 9 mm with 2 strands Air. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (= knit 1/purl 1) in the round for 4 cm. Switch to double pointed needles size 10 mm. Knit 1 round while increasing 1-1-0-0-1-1 stitch evenly = 21-23-24-24-25-27 stitches. Insert a marker thread at beginning of round (= mid under sleeve). Work in stocking stitch in the round. When piece measures 10-10-8-8-10-10 cm, increase 2 stitches under sleeve - read INCREASE TIP! Increase like this approx. every 6-6-6-5-4-4 cm 6-6-6-7-7-7 times in total = 33-35-36-38-39-41 stitches. When piece measures 44-44-41-41-38-38 cm (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider shoulders), cast off 6 stitches mid under sleeve (3 stitches on each side of marker). Then finish sleeve cap in stocking stitch back and forth. Cast off 2 stitches at beginning of every row in each side until sleeve measures 47-47-46-46-45-45 cm. Cast off the remaining stitches. Work another sleeve the same way.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew the shoulder seams together. Sew sleeves in body. Sew seam under sleeves and then down the side seam. Repeat in the other side.

NECK EDGE:
Begin from right side and pick up 60-70 stitches on circular needle size 9 mm with 2 strands Air around neck edge (including stitches from stitch holder on front piece). Number of stitch must be divisible by 2. Work rib (knit 1/purl 1) in the round for 4 cm. Cast off stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl.
