INFORMATION FOR PATTERN:

YARN TIP:
Because the slipper is worked in 4 strands (with 2 strands from same colour) use strand from both the inside and outside of balls.

CROCHET DOUBLE CROCHET TOGETHER:
Work 2 double crochets together into 1 double crochet as follows: Insert hook in first stitch, pull thread through, insert hook in next stitch, pull thread through, make a yarn over and pull thread through all 3 loops on hook.
--------------------------------------------------------

SLIPPER:
Worked back and forth, top down. Work entire piece with 4 strands, 2 strand from each colour - read YARN TIP.

Work 22-26-26 loose chain stitches on hook size 8 mm with 2 strands candy and 2 strands green/turquoise = 4 strands. Work 1 double crochet in 2nd chain stitch from hook, then work 1 double crochet in every chain stitch the entire row = 21-25-25 double crochets. Continue back and forth with 1 double crochet in every double crochet - NOTE: Work 1 chain stitch at beginning of every row before working 1 double crochet in every double crochet, this chain stitch does NOT replace first double crochet. It is in addition to number of stitches.

When piece measures 7-7-8 cm, work as follows:
ROW 1: Work 2 double crochets in first double crochet, 1 double crochet in each of the next 8-10-10 double crochets, 2 double crochets in next double crochet, 1 chain stitch, skip the next double crochet, 2 double crochets in next double crochet, 1 double crochet in each of the next 8-10-10 double crochets and 2 double crochets in last double crochet, turn piece.
ROW 2: Work 1 double crochet in each of the first 12-14-14 double crochets, 7 treble crochets around chain stitch and 1 double crochet in each of the last 12-14-14 double crochets = 31-35-35 stitches, turn piece.
ROW 3: Work 2 double crochets in first stitch, 1 double crochet in each of the next 13-15-15 stitches, 2 double crochets in next stitch, 1 chain stitch, skip the next double crochet, 2 double crochets in next stitch, 1 double crochet in each of the next 13-15-15 stitches and 2 double crochets in last stitch, turn piece.
ROW 4: Work 1 double crochet in each of the first 17-19-19 double crochets, 7 treble crochets around chain stitch and 1 double crochet in each of the last 17-19-19 double crochets = 41-45-45 stitches, turn piece.
ROW 5: Work 2 double crochets in first stitch, 1 double crochet in each of the next 18-20-20 stitches, 2 double crochets in next stitch, 1 chain stitch, skip the next double crochet, 2 double crochets in next stitch, 1 double crochet in each of the next 18-20-20 stitches and 2 double crochets in last stitch, turn piece.
ROW 6: Work 1 double crochet in each of the first 22-24-24 double crochets, 7 treble crochets around chain stitch and 1 double crochet in each of the last 22-24-24 double crochets = 51-55-55 stitches, turn piece.
Finish increase for size 35/37 and 38/40 here.

SIZE 41/43:
ROW 7: Work 1 double crochet in each of the next 27 stitches, 1 chain stitch, skip next stitch and work 1 double crochet in each of the next 27 stitches, turn piece.
ROW 8: Work 1 double crochet in each of the first 27 double crochets, 7 treble crochets around chain stitch and 1 double crochet in each of the last 27 double crochets = 61 stitches, turn piece.

ALL SIZES:
After last increase there are 51-55-61 stitches on row. Continue back and forth with 1 double crochet in every stitch until 1 row remains before piece measures 17-18-19 cm (measure straight down along one side of slipper from the straight edge at the top of leg). Now decrease in each side of piece - see CROCHET DOUBLE CROCHETS TOGETHER. Work the first 2 double crochets into 1 double crochet, work double crochets until 2 double crochets remain and work these together into 1 double crochet the same way as in the other side = 49-53-59 double crochets. Fasten off.

ASSEMBLY:
Start under the foot at the front of toe. Sew together edge to edge in outer loops of edge stitches to avoid a chunky seam. Sew together mid under foot, up along the heel mid back and to the top of the slipper. Fasten off.
Work another slipper the same way.

Bon crochet!
