Hi do I turn the work after each round or continue in the same direction?

Hi Wendy, You finish after each round, with a slip stitch in the 3rd/1st chain stitch at the beginning of the round (depending on whether it is a round of treble crochets or double crochets), then continue in the same direction on the next round. Happy crocheting!

Hallo! Danke Daniela

Liebe Daniela, beim Oberteil/Seitenwand häkeln Sie wie beim BODEN, aber jetzt häkeln Sie A.2 anstatt A.1 - bei der letzten Runde von A.2b häkeln Sie Stäbchen anstatt feste Maschen, und dann A.3 häkeln (=Seitenwand).

Bon crochet!

INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN: COLOR PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3. The diagrams show the colors in the pattern. 1 square = 1 double crochet. COLOR CHANGE: When changing color, work as follows: Work the last double crochet with the first color, but wait with the last pull through, change to the next color and work the last pull through with the new color, then work the next double crochet. When working with 2 colors, lay the strand you are not working with over the stitches from the previous round and work around the strand so that it is hidden in the stitches; the strand is also brought forward in this way. CROCHET INFO: The first double crochet on the round is replaced by 3 chain stitches; finish the round with 1 slip stitch in the third chain stitch at the beginning of the round. The first single crochet on the round is replaced by 1 chain stitch; finish with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch at the beginning of the round. ---------------------------------------------------------- POUFFE: The pouffe is worked in the round in two parts and sewn together at the end. The bottom is worked separately. Then the top is worked and you continue down the sides. The bottom and top/side are sewn together at the end. BOTTOM: Work 4 chain stitches with hook size 7 mm and medium purple and form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch. Then work A.1a in the round as described below (= 12 repeats on the round) - read COLOR PATTERN and COLOR CHANGE. ROUND 1: Work 12 double crochets around the ring – read CROCHET INFO! ROUND 2: Work 2 double crochets in each double crochet = 24 double crochets. ROUND 3: Work * 1 double crochet in the first double crochet, 2 double crochets in the next double crochet *, repeat from *-* to end of round = 36 double crochets. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! ROUND 4: Work * 1 double crochet in each of the first/next 2 double crochets, 2 double crochets in the next double crochet *, repeat from *-* to end of round = 48 double crochets. Continue A.1a with increases as before, i.e. each round you work 1 more double crochet between each increase. When A.1a has been completed, there are 120 double crochets on the round. Then work A.1b over A.1a (= 12 repeats on the round) as follows: ROUND 1 (= 2 double crochets increased over each repeat): Work * 1 double crochet in each of the first/next 4 double crochets, 2 double crochets in the next double crochet *, repeat from *-* to end of round = 144 double crochets. ROUND 2 (= no increases): Work 1 double crochet in each double crochet = 144 double crochets. ROUND 3: Work * 1 double crochet in each of the first/next 11 double crochets, 2 double crochets in the next double crochet *, repeat from *-* to end of round = 156 double crochets. ROUND 4: NOTE: This round is worked with single crochets. Work * 1 single crochet in each of the first/next 12 double crochets, 2 single crochets in the next double crochet *, repeat from *-* to end of round = 168 single crochets. Cut and fasten the strands when A.1b has been completed. TOP/SIDE: Work the top in the same way as the bottom, but without cutting the strands: Work A.2a and A.2b in the round (= 12 repeats on the round). On the last round in A.2b work double crochets (not single crochets) = 168 double crochets. Then work the sides of the pouffe as follows: Continue to work in the round, but now without increasing, i.e. work A.3 in the round - NOTE: The last round in A.3 is worked with 1 single crochet in each double crochet (instead of 1 double crochet in each double crochet). Cut and fasten the strands when A.3 has been completed. ASSEMBLY: Fill the pouffe with 2 or 3 pillows, depending on how hard/soft you want the pouffe to be. Sew the bottom to the top/side with off white - sew edge to edge in the outermost loop of each single crochet so that the seam is flat. |
