INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN:

RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked in the round):
1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 and A.2
----------------------------------------------------------

HAT:
The piece is worked in the round with circular needle, change to double pointed needles when necessary. Cast on 80-88 stitches with circular needle size 4.5 mm and Nepal. Knit 1 round, then work rib, purl 2 / knit 2. Work rib until the piece measures 14 cm. Change to circular needle size 5 mm. Continue by working A.1 one time in height over all stitches, then continue with A.2 over the stitches in A.1 = 90-99 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 24-25 cm purl the first 2 stitches in each purl section together. Decrease every 3rd round a total of 5 times, decrease alternately at the beginning and end of each purl section = 40-44 stitches. On the next round knit all stitches together 2 and 2 = 20-22 stitches. Knit 1 round then knit all stitches together 2 and 2 again = 10-11 stitches on the round. Cut the strand and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. The piece measures a total of approx. 31-32 cm.

NECK WARMER:
The piece is worked in the round with circular needle. Cast on 112 stitches with circular needle size 5.5 mm and Nepal. Work 2 RIDGES – see description above. Then work A.1 one time in height over all stitches, then continue with A.2 over the stitches in A.1 = 126 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue with A.2 until the piece measures 24 cm, finish after either round 1, 5 or 9 in the diagram = 112 stitches. Change to circular needle size 4.5 mm and continue with rib, purl 2 / knit 2. Work rib for 4 cm, then cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The piece measures a total of 28 cm.

Diagram

= slip 1 stitch, knit the loop between 2 stitches from the previous round twisted (1 stitch increased), knit next stitch and slip the lifted stitch over these two stitches.

Denise Grenier 23.02.2019 - 04:30:

Bon tricot!
