Which length should the circar knitting needle have? How many cm?
26.03.2024 - 21:14DROPS Design answered:
Dear Marjolein, that is depending on your personal preference. Some knitters like the shorter ones, other prefer the longer ones. For stockings generally we suggest the 60 cm long needles, but you can also use the magic circle method, and that needs longer ones. Happy Knitting!

I have made many pairs of these wonderful slippers & my 10 yr old grandson wants a pair too! Should I use 3 strands of yarn instead of 4 & move back the same amount of stitches as from a small to a medium? I think I can figure out the rest!

Dear Mrs Walker, this depends on his shoe size, find all our patterns for slippers for children here, filter with shoe size to find matching patterns. Happy knitting!

Why circular needles?
07.01.2023 - 02:09DROPS Design answered:
Dear Helen, we use circular needles to knit more confortably, since the shape is slightly curved and there is a high number of stitches. You could use straight needles, but it might be more unconfortable to work with. Happy knitting!

Hana

I am just starting the pattern and unless I am misreading, when knitting with circular needles end to end, the second row of rib needs to be K3 P2 etc.

This is an excellent pattern for using up odds and ends or yarn. You may end up with two different slippers, but your feet are still warm, and there will be no yarn going to waste.
