NOTE: Slippers worked with one colour = 150 g Alpaca in all sizes.

DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 3.5 mm – or size needed to get 18 tr x 10.5 rows with 2 strands = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
CROCHET INFO:
Replace first tr from beg of round/row with 3 ch. Finish every round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round (in ch at beg of previous row when working back and forth).

DECREASE TIP:
Dec at beg of row as follows: Replace 1 tr with 1 sl st.
Dec at end of row as follows: When no of tr to be dec remains, turn piece and work back.

INCREASE TIP:
Inc 1 tr by working 2 tr in 1 tr.

SLIPPER:

FOOT:
Work from toe towards heel.
Work 3 ch on hook size 3.5 mm with 2 strands light pink and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. READ CROCHET INFO!
ROUND 1: Work 8 tr in ch-ring.
ROUND 2: 2 tr in every tr = 16 tr.
ROUND 3: * 1 tr in first tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 tr.
ROUND 4: * 1 tr in each of the first 2 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 32 tr. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
SIZE 41/43: ROUND 5: * 1 tr in each of the first 3 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 40 tr.
Then work with 2 strands lime. On next round inc 2-6-2 tr evenly – READ INCREASE TIP! = 34-38-42 tr. Then work in the round with 1 tr in every tr until piece measures 9-10-11 cm.
Work 30-34-38 tr, turn and work back (do not work over the 4 last tr = opening mid on top of slipper). Continue back and forth - AT THE SAME TIME dec 1 tr in each side on 1st row – READ DECREASE TIP = 28-32-36 tr. Work 1 tr in every tr until piece measures approx. 14-16-19 cm. Now inc 1 tr in each side on every other row a total of 3 times - READ INCREASE TIP = 34-38-42 tr. When slipper measures 22-24-27 cm, place it double and work tog mid back with one row sl sts through both layers. Cut and fasten the yarn.

EDGE ALONG OPENING OF SLIPPER:
Work 1 round dc with 2 strands lime around opening on slipper (work approx. 2 dc around every tr-row), fasten off.
Work 1 round with 2 strands turquoise as follows: 1 dc in first st, * 3 ch, 1 tr in first ch), skip 1½ cm, 1 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* around opening until approx. 1½ cm remain, work 3 ch, 1 tr in first ch, finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Fasten off.

LACE EDGES:
Work 7 rows with lace edge along over side of slipper on hook size 3.5 mm with 2 strands light pink. Beg in 6th round worked with lime (at the top of slipper) and work as follows (work from the top and down towards toe so that fringes are visible from RS seen from above) – NOTE: Try the slipper one, the lace edge should NOT be under foot but beg and end in the side where slipper meets the floor: 1 dc in first st, * 3 ch, 1 tr in first ch, skip approx. 1½ cm, 1 dc in next st *, repeat from *-* from one side to the other side. Fasten off. Work 6 lace edges more the same way down towards toe approx. 1½ cm between each.

Work another slipper the same way.
