Some left-over yarn colour no 24, dark grey

DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 4.5 mm – or size needed to get 16 dc = width 10 cm.

Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
WORK IN THE ROUND IN A CIRCLE (applies to body and legs):
After last dc on the round, continue to next round with 1 dc in next dc (= first dc on next round). NOTE: Insert a marker at the beg of round between last dc and first dc on the round, move the marker upwards.

2 DC TOG:
* Insert hook in next st, get yarn *, repeat from *-* one more time, make a YO and pull yarn through all 3 sts on hook.

CROCHET INFO (applies to ears and eyes):
Beg every row/round with 1 ch (does not replace first dc). Finish round with 1 sl st in first ch.

BUNNY:

HEAD/BODY:
Work in the round, top down from the top of head.
Work 3 ch on hook size 4.5 mm with light blue purple and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Work 6 dc in circle - READ WORK IN THE ROUND IN A CIRCLE.
ROUND 2: Work 2 dc in every dc = 12 dc.
ROUND 3: Work * 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 18 dc. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
ROUND 4: Work * 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, then 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 dc.
ROUND 5: Work * 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, then 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 30 dc.
ROUND 6: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 7: Work * 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc, then 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36 dc.
ROUND 8: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 9: Work * 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc, then 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 42 dc.
ROUND 10-17: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 18: Work * 1 dc in each of the next 19 dc, then work the next 2 DC TOG - see explanation above *, repeat from *-* one more time = 40 dc.
ROUND 19: Work * 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, then crochet 2 dc tog *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 32 dc.
ROUND 20: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 21: * 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, then crochet 2 dc tog *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 dc.
ROUND 22: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 23: Work * 1 dc in the next 1 dc, then crochet the next 2 dc tog *, repeat from *-* the rest of the round = 16 dc.
ROUND 24: Work 1 dc in every dc. Fill the bunny with some cotton wool.
ROUND 25: Work all dc tog 2 by 2 = 8 dc, finish with 1 sl st in next dc. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts and tighten tog, fasten tightly.

LEG:
Worked in the round in a circle.
Work 3 ch on hook size 4.5 mm with light blue purple and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Work 6 dc in the circle.
ROUND 2: Work 2 dc in every dc = 12 dc.
ROUND 3-6: Work 1 dc in every dc. Fill leg with some cotton wool.
ROUND 7: Work all dc tog 2 by 2 = 6 dc, finish with 1 sl st in next dc. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts and tighten tog, fasten tightly.
Work 3 more legs the same way.

EAR:
Worked back and forth.
Work 5 ch on hook size 4.5 mm with light blue purple.
ROW 1: Turn and work 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc in each of the next 3 ch = 4 dc.
ROW 2: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc = 6 dc.
ROWS 3-21: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROW 22: Work 2 dc tog, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, 2 dc tog = 4 dc.
ROW 23: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROW 24: Crochet all dc tog 2 by 2 = 2 dc. Fasten off.
Work another part in medium pink the same way.

Now work the two parts tog with light blue purple. Place ears tog and work through both layers (medium pink side up) as follows: Work 1 dc in each of the first 4 sts on cast-on edge, 1 dc in every row, 2 dc + 3 ch + 2 dc around tip of ear, 1 dc around every row. Fasten off.
Work another ear the same way.

EYE:
Work 3 ch on hook size 4.5 mm with some left-over dark grey and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Remember CROCHET INFO! Work 6 dc in ch-ring. Switch to some left-over off white.
ROUND 2: Work 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc + 1 htr in next dc, 1 tr + 2 dtr in next dc, 2 dtr + 1 tr in next dc, 1 htr + 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc. Fasten off.
Work another eye the same way.

TAIL:
Make 1 pompom with an approx. diameter of 4 cm with some left-over off white.

ASSEMBLY:
Place cast-on edge on ears edge to edge with 4th round on head on each side and fasten with neat little stitches (also sew a few cm down along edge on ears on the back of head to hold them in place). Sew the legs under the body. Sew eye with neat little stitches on the back to avoid visible stitches, and sew 4 stitches on each eye with some left-over dark grey for eyelashes - see picture. Embroider nose with medium pink and mouth with some left-over dark grey. Sew the tail to the back.

I tried making the Oscar pattern (rabbit). I am on round 10 of the body and it already measures 11 cm. There must be something wrong with the pattern as that is the finished size and I am only half through the body. Could it be sc instead of dc? Very cute looking pattern and I'd like to try again.

Har ikke noget med opskriften at gøre, men da der åbenbart ikke er andre muligheder for at kontakte jer, skriver jeg her. Jeres oversætter er super, men ville det ikke være mere hensigtsmæssigt, at den oversatte FRA fremmedsprog TIL dansk ? i stedet for omvendt.. Jeg ved jo godt hvad det hedder på dansk... skulle oversætte FRA hollandsk til DANSK og det var ikke nemt Bare en tanke.
