Place ears tog and work through both layers (medium pink side up) as follows: Work 1 sc in each of the first 4 sts on cast-on edge, 1 sc in every row, 2 sc + 3 ch + 2 sc around tip of ear, 1 sc around every row. Fasten off. Work another ear the same way. EYE: Work 3 ch on hook size 4.5 mm/US 7 with some left-over dark gray and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: Remember CROCHET INFO! Work 6 sc in ch-ring. Switch to some left-over off white. ROUND 2: Work 2 sc in first sc, 1 sc + 1 hdc in next sc, 1 dc + 2 tr in next sc, 2 tr + 1 dc in next sc, 1 hdc + 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc. Fasten off. Work another eye the same way. TAIL: Make 1 pompom with an approx. diameter of 4 cm / 1½'' with some left-over off white. ASSEMBLY: Place cast-on edge on ears edge to edge with 4th round on head on each side and fasten with neat little stitches (also sew a few cm / ½'' down along edge on ears on the back of head to hold them in place). Sew the legs under the body. Sew eye with neat little stitches on the back to avoid visible stitches, and sew 4 stitches on each eye with some left-over dark gray for eyelashes - see picture. Embroider on nose with medium pink and mouth with some left-over dark gray. Sew the tail to the back. |
