DROPS COTTON LIGHT from Garnstudio
50 g colour no 02, white

The 3 stars weigh approx. 20 g all together.

DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 2.5 mm – or size needed to get 24 tr = width 10 cm. After 2nd round star measures approx. 5 cm in diameter.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 to A.6.
Diagrams A.1/A.3/A.5 show how each star beg and ends (= 1 repetition). Work diagrams A.2/A.4/A.6 5 times in total.

STARS:
Work 3 stars in different sizes. See diagram A.1 and A.2 (= small star), A.3 and A.4 (= medium star) and A.5 and A.6 (= large star). The first 2 rounds are the same on all stars.

Work 6 ch on hook size 2.5 mm with Cotton Light and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Work 6 ch (= 1 dtr + 2 ch), * 1 dtr in ring, 2 ch *, repeat from *-* 10 more times, finish with 1 sl st in 4th ch at beg of round, work 1 sl st around first ch-space = 12 dtr and 12 ch-spaces.
ROUND 2: Work 1 ch, (= first dc), 1 dc around first ch-space, 1 ch, * 2 dc around next ch-space, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 10 more times and finish with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round = 24 dc and 12 ch. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! Now work differently in the different sizes.

SMALL STAR:
ROUND 3: Work 1 ch, 7 LOOSE ch, turn and work 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 htr in next ch, 1 tr in next ch, 1 dtr in next ch, 1 triple tr in each of the next 2 ch, skip 1 dc + 1 ch + 2 dc, work 1 dc around next ch, * 7 LOOSE ch, turn and work 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 htr in next ch, 1 tr in next ch, 1 dtr in next ch, 1 triple tr in each of the next 2 ch, skip 2 dc + 1 ch + 2 dc, work 1 dc around next ch *, repeat from *-* 4 more times, finish with 1 sl st in first ch at beg of round = 6 tips on star. Fasten off.

MEDIUM STAR:
ROUND 3: Work 5 ch, skip 1 dc, 1 dtr around next ch, 5 ch, skip 2 dc, work 1 sl st around next ch, * 5 ch, skip 2 dc, work 1 dtr around next ch, 5 ch, skip 2 dc, 1 sl st around next ch *, repeat from *-* 4 more times, finish with 1 sl st in first ch at beg of round = 6 dtr and 12 ch-spaces.
ROUND 4: Work 1 ch, 2 dc around first ch-space, 7 LOOSE ch, turn and work 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 htr in next ch, 1 tr in next ch, 1 dtr in next ch, 1 triple tr in each of the next 2 ch, skip 1 dtr, 2 dc around next ch-space, 1 sl st around same ch-space, * 1 sl st around next ch-space, 2 dc around same ch-space, 7 LOOSE ch, turn and work 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 htr in next ch, 1 tr in next ch, 1 dtr in next ch, 1 triple tr in each of the next 2 ch, skip 1 dtr, 2 dc around next ch-space, 1 sl st around same ch-space *, repeat from *-* 4 more times, finish round with 1 sl st in first ch at beg of round = 6 tips on star. Fasten off.

LARGE STAR:
ROUND 3: Work 5 ch, skip 1 dc, 2 triple tr around next ch, 5 ch, skip 2 dc, * 1 sl st around next ch, 5 ch, skip 2 dc, 2 triple tr around next ch, 5 ch, skip 2 dc *, repeat from *-* 4 more times, finish with 1 sl st in first ch at beg of round = 12 triple tr and 12 ch-spaces.
ROUND 4: Work 9 ch, 2 dtr in each of the first 2 triple tr, 7 ch, * 1 htr in next sl st, 7 ch, 2 dtr in each of the next 2 triple tr, 7 ch *, repeat from *-* 4 more times, finish with 1 sl st in 2nd ch at beg of round = 12 ch-spaces and 12 dtr.

HANGING:
Thread a strand Cotton Light through a tip on star, fold strand double and tie a knot in desired length for hanging.

Superleuk en makkelijk patroontje! De kleine en middelgrote ster zijn ideaal om kerstkaarten op te fleuren, de grote ster om in een ring voor het raam te hangen. Dit is het soort patroontjes waar ik naar uitkijk bij de kerstkalender : kleine, snelle spulletjes om de eindejaarsperiode nog knusser te maken.
