See diagrams A.1 to A.5.
----------------------------------------------------------

NECK WARMER:
Worked in the round on circular needle. Place circular needle size 4 mm / US 6 double (or use 2 circular needle with the same size) and cast on 204 sts with Cotton Merino over 2 needle (to make the cast-on edge more elastic). Pull out one needle and work 1 ridge in GARTER ST in the round on circular needle - see explanation above. Continue to work A.1 - see explanation above (= a total of 12 repetitions). REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE Continue until piece measures 26 cm / 10 1/4'', work rib = K 2/P 2 for 4 cm / 1½'', then bind off with K over K and P over P.
----------------------------------------------------------

WRIST WARMERS:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 51 sts on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm / US 4 with Cotton Merino. Work A.2 (= 3 repetitions in width), on last round in A.2 dec 13 sts evenly = 38 sts. Now work A.3. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE When A.3 has been worked one time vertically, bind off with K over K and P over P. Knit another wrist warmer.
----------------------------------------------------------

HAT:
Worked in the round on circular needle, switch to double pointed needles when needed. Cast on 108 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 with Cotton Merino. Work A.4 (= 6 repetitions in width). REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE When A.4 a has been worked one time vertically, there are 114 sts on needle. Continue with A.4 b until piece measures approx. 13 cm / 5'' - finish after a whole repetition of A.4 b. Now work A.5 over A.4. When A.5 has been worked one time vertically, there are 90 sts on round. On next round K tog all sts 2 by 2 = 45 sts. K 1 round, then K all sts tog 2 by 2 again = 23 sts remain. K all sts tog 2 by 2 one more time = 12 sts. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. Piece measures approx. 24 cm / 9½''.
