Thank you so much for answering my above question. I am now getting ready to work row 5 of A.5. Are there 6 Double crochets in between each Treble Cluster all the way around? Or are there 6 DC and then 7 DC? The graph is somewhat confusing. Basically I'm asking how many DC in each chn 6 space? How many DC should there be when I am done with this round? Thank you.
25.01.2021 - 17:47DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hayes, on row 5 you will work alternately 6 double crochets and 7 double crochets - starting with 3 dc in first ch-space and ending with 4 dc in last ch-space - just as shown in diagram. On next round, work 1 dc in each dc = 13 dc in each repeat in width. Happy crocheting!

I'm making L/XL & have just finished all rounds in A.4 under the ALL SIZES section. I have 240 DC as instructed. This paragraph says "Then work A.5...". Q#1 Why does graph A.5 have first five rows numbered 1-5 under A.8? Q#2 In same paragraph it says "Then work A.6" & then the last sentence in that paragraph says to "Then work A.5 ...." How do you work A.5, then A.6, & then A.5 again? This is confusing. I'm stuck until you reply. Thank you :)
23.01.2021 - 23:19DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hayes, work first all the rows in A.5 (= you will have 336 dc), then work A.6 increasing evenly (= 380 dc), then work A.5 but the number of rows will now apply: in L/XL you work all the rows in A.5 (in S/M only the first 5, that's why there are rows written). When A.5 has been worked the 2nd time (after A.6), you have now 532 dc. Hope this will help, happy crocheting!

I am working the sleeve. When it States to decrease every 1", is the previous decrease row included in that measurement? Example: Each of my rose measures approximately 1/2 inch. What I crochet 2 rows and then decrease on the 3rd, or would I be decreasing every other row? It seems as though if I do not include it in the measurement, the sleeve would measure approximately 17" when complete but I dont want to decrease early and the sleeve end up too tight.
10.11.2020 - 04:31DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Baker, you can measure from after the round where you decrease; Happy crocheting!

I am working A.6. It says to fasten off after the first 2 rows. Looking ahead I do not see when/where I add the last 2 rows. Are they just not needed? Im a little confused.
14.08.2020 - 23:15DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Baker, when sleeves are done and circle is finished, - piece measures approx. 110-118-125 cm in diameter, you then just work the first 2 rows in A.6 as a finishing edge. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Das, you should make a swatch (yardage/weight can vary from yarn to yarn so that it's difficult to answer you) - Read more here about tension. Happy crocheting!

16.06.2020 - 20:40DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Arundhati, you work 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc but you have to increase 1 stitch over these sts, this means you will for example work: (1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc) = you have now increased 1 stitch = 6 dc over the 5 dc from previous round. Happy crocheting!

Hi, I'm working on A6 and the stitch count doesn't match. There are 84 chain spaces x 4dc + 84dc in the sc from prev round. That equals 336+84=420. How am I supposed to get 380sts? Thanks
02.05.2020 - 21:34DROPS Design answered:
Dear Lucy, you crochet A.6 a total of 42 times in the round = A.6 = 9 sts on last round x 42= 378 sts and you increase 2 sts evenly on last round = 380 sts. Happy crocheting!

CROCHET INFO: Beg every round with dc with 3 ch and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round, ch does not replace first dc. Beg every dc row with 3 ch. DECREASE TIP: Dec 1 dc by working the next 2 dc tog as follows: Work 1 dc but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), then work next dc but on last pull through, pull yarn through all 3 sts on hook. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1-A.10. Diagram A.8 shows how round beg and ends. NOTE: In diagram A.2-A.4, A.6 and A.10 first round in diagram is last round on previous diagram, it is not worked but shows how to continue. ---------------------------------------------------------- CIRCLE: Work 5 ch on hook size 5 mm / H/8 with Merino Extra Fine and form 1 ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Then work A.1 as follows: ROUND 1: Work 3 ch - READ CROCHET INFO, 12 dc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch. ROUND 2: Work 2 dc in back loop of every dc = 24 dc. Insert 1 marker in piece, NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE. Work 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of the next 13-15-17 ch, 1 dc in every dc, 1 dc in every ch = 53-57-61 dc. Then work 1 dc in every dc. When piece measures 4 cm / 1½'', dec 1 dc in each side of piece by working the first 2 dc tog and the last 2 dc tog (= 2 dc dec) – SEE DECREASE TIP! Repeat dec every 3-3-3½ cm / 1"-1"-1 1/4" 10-10-9 more times = 31-35-41 dc. When piece measures 38-39-40 cm / 15"-15 1/4"-15 3/4", work piece in the round as follows: Work A.9 6-7-8 times in total on round AT THE SAME TIME on first round dec 1-0-1 dc = 30-35-40 dc. On last round in A.9 dec 2-3-4 dc evenly = 28-32-36 dc. Then work A.10 7-8-9 times in total on round. Fasten off when A.10 has been worked 1 time vertically. Piece measures approx. 63-64-65 cm / 24 3/4"-25 1/4"-25½" in total. Work another sleeve the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew sleeves into circle in outer loop of edge sts. Sew underarm seam. |
