CROCHET INFO: Beg every round with dc with 3 ch and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round, ch does not replace first dc. Beg every dc row with 3 ch. DECREASE TIP: Dec 1 dc by working the next 2 dc tog as follows: Work 1 dc but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), then work next dc but on last pull through, pull yarn through all 3 sts on hook. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1-A.10. Diagram A.8 shows how round beg and ends. NOTE: In diagram A.2-A.4, A.6 and A.10 first round in diagram is last round on previous diagram, it is not worked but shows how to continue. ---------------------------------------------------------- CIRCLE: Work 5 ch on hook size 5 mm / H/8 with Merino Extra Fine and form 1 ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Then work A.1 as follows: ROUND 1: Work 3 ch - READ CROCHET INFO, 12 dc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch. ROUND 2: Work 2 dc in back loop of every dc = 24 dc. ROUND 3: Work * 2 dc in back loop of first/next dc, 1 dc in back loop of next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36 dc. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! Then work A.2 6 times in total on round. NOTE: A.8 in same diagram shows how every round beg and ends. Note if dc is worked in back loop, in or around st (applies for all diagrams). When A.2 has been worked 1 time vertically, there are 96 dc and 24 ch on round (= 120 sts in total). Piece measures approx. 28 cm / 11'' in diameter. Then work A.3 12 times in total on round. When the beginning says to do "2-3-4 rounds of A3," is that total rounds or additional rounds after it's been worked once for the first time? I'm assuming it means total but I just wanted to clarify.
29.11.2022 - 21:48DROPS Design answered:
Hi Aelix, Yes, it is the first 2-3-4 rounds in A.3 which are worked here. Happy crocheting!

Starting xxl/xxxl sleeve division round Instructed dc in dc , dc around chain There are no chains in the last round worked Am I reading it wrong ?
21.10.2022 - 21:51DROPS Design answered:
Dear Adell, for the armhole you have worked a 30 chain stitch chain and skipped 15 dc and 15 chain stitches. You should also have chain stitches in the 4th round of A.3 (which you should have worked). The round with dc in dc and dc around the chain is the 5th round of A.3, so there are chain stitches in the round right before this one. Happy crocheting!

Please reword the sleeve instructions. I am not understanding- this whole pattern in genera has been the worst worded and hardest to follow out of all the patterns I have ever worked with. I have finished the cap and have gotten to the point of decreasing at the beginning and end (2dc tog ) then it says to decrease every inch 10 more times. Does this mean every other row I need to decrease or in the next two I decrease after every inch I go down the row, and it will happen ten times.
12.07.2022 - 22:39DROPS Design answered:
Dear LoraM, when you have worked 1" from the first decrease, you work the decrease again; the rest of the rows don't have decreases. So, you work as follows: decrease row, work without the decreases until you have worked 1", then work a decrease row. Repeat this 10 times (you should have in total 11 decrease rows, counting the first and last ones). Happy crocheting!

I have issue at s/m size. I had crochet till 3 row of A.3 but diagram n the instructions for s/m doesn't add up. I had worked (Work 3 ch, * 2 tr in first tr, 1 tr in each of the next 8 tr *, repeat from *-* 4 more times, 26 ch, skip 26 tr (= armhole), repeat from *-* 6 times in total, ) but I only have 3 more stitches left. There is no more room for (1 tr in each of the next 5 tr AT THE SAME TIME inc 1 tr). What shall I do?
22.05.2022 - 13:03DROPS Design answered:
Dear Jesslyn, make sure you get 156 stitches on previous round (= 13 sts in each repeat); then work: *2 tr in 1 tr, 1 tr in each of the next 8 tr* x 5 times in total (= 50 tr over 45 tr); skip 26 tr and chain 26; repeat *to* 6 times (= 60 tr worked over 54 tr), (2 tr, 1 tr in each of the next 5 tr inc 1 tr (= 6 tr over 5 tr), skip 26 tr and chain 26 = you get 50+60+6=116tr + 2 x 26 ch worked over 45+26+54+5+26=156 tr. Hope it will help, happy crocheting!

I was wondering how the gauge swatch should be measured is it 14dc in width and height ? if not how many in height should it be? I ask as even though I've done A1- A2 on 4 separate attempts and after A2 my circle never measures 28cm it is always 1-3 cm off.
22.05.2022 - 00:58DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mia, indeed, the gauge seems to be off. The gauge is measured as 14 dc in width = 10 cm. Then, work a few rows and measure the gauge there vertically/ in length and use this as a guide. Since A.2 is working as a multiple of 6 stitches, it's better to work a few rounds of A.1 in length to achieve the 28 cm required, if your gauge is still off. Happy crocheting!

Hi! Does it make a difference, whether the sleeves are made in round (except for the cap), or flat with edges sewn later together?
19.04.2022 - 15:55DROPS Design answered:
Dear Anna, to get the same texture all the way, rather work in rows - so that stitches will look the same all the way. Happy crocheting!

I am working XL/XXL and am at the sleeve opening. It says to work 50 sts, skip 30 sts, work 80 sts, skip 30 sts, for a total of 132 sts worked and 60 sts skipped, but that only adds up to 130 sts worked, NOT 132. Where are the 2 remaining stitches worked?
09.02.2022 - 22:54DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Anderson, work as follows: 3 ch, * 1 tr in first/next tr, 1 tr around next ch *, repeat from *-* 24 more times (= 2 tr x 25 = 50 tr), 1 tr in next tr, (= 51 tr), 30 ch, skip 15 tr and 15 ch (= 30 sts in total) for armhole, * work 1 tr around next ch, 1 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 39 more times (= 2 tr x 40 = 80 tr), 1 tr around next ch (+ 1 tr = 81 tr), 30 ch, skip the last 15 tr and 15 ch (= armhole), finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round = 51+81= 132 tr and 30 ch for each sleeve (= 192 sts in total). Happy crocheting!

Hi. I'm starting to crochet A.2 the second time. In the diagram, the previous row was all dc. But that is not the case when I finished crocheting A.2 the first time. Now, I have some dc and some ch. Do I just continue with the pattern, leaving 2 stitches in between ? Or do I only put stitches in the previous rounds dc? I hope I've been able to explain my problem. Thank you in advance!
24.08.2021 - 11:22DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ayesha, you work A.2 6 times on the round. That means, you should have 6 repeats of the same row of A.2 in the same round. But A.2 is only repeated once vertically. The last row of A.2 is the previous row to A.3, which you will continue working. Happy crocheting!

13.03.2021 - 07:51DROPS Design answered:
Dea Hnin Pa Pa Win, your round should be (more or less) flat. Some unevennes can be blocked out, but generally the circle should stay flat. Please check if yozu missed some of the increases in the pattern. Happy Crafting!
