Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. PATTERN:
Diagrams A.1 to A.4. Work entire pattern in stocking st.

RIGHT MITTEN:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 64 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with black. K 1 round, then work rib = K 1/P 1 for 10 rounds. Switch to double pointed needles size 3 mm and K 1 round with black while dec 4 sts evenly = 60 sts. Then work pattern according to diagram A.1 (= 5 repetitions on round). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When A.1 has been worked, K 1 round with black while dec 4 sts evenly = 56 sts. Then work pattern according to diagram A.2 (= 7 repetitions on round). When A.2 has been worked, K 1 round with black while inc 4 sts evenly = 60 sts.
Then continue pattern in the round according to diagram A.3. When it has been worked up to the 3 black squares in A.3, work A.4 over these 3 sts for thumb gusset, continue other sts according to A.3. Inc in A.4 as shown in diagram (on round after inc K YOs twisted to avoid holes). When 6 inc have been worked in total (= 15 sts in thumb gusset), work 3 rounds without inc as shown in A.4, then slip the 15 thumb sts on 1 stitch holder. Cast on 3 new sts over sts on stitch holder = 60 sts on needle. Continue in the round according to A.3. When beg dec at the top of mitten, dec with black on each side of 3 sts in each side (= 1 st rose mist, 1 st black and 1 st rose mist). After dec are done there are 12 sts on needle. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. The entire mitten measures approx. 30 cm.

THUMB:
Slip the 15 thumb sts back on double pointed needles size 3 mm. Pick up 9 sts in the edge behind the thumb = 24 sts. Continue in the round according to diagram A.4. When beg dec at the top of thumb, dec with rose mist on each side of 1 st black in each side. After dec are done there are 8 sts on needle. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten.

LEFT MITTEN:
Cast on and work as right mitten but work the 3 sts for thumb in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th st from the left side in diagram A.3.

Très contente du résultat. La concentration pour ce projet est essentielle. J’ai fait le bandeau jacquard #DE-005 et même si ce n’est pas tout à fait les mêmes fleurs, c’est magnifique. Laine utilisée bleu#107 et océan view long print #604.

Using fairly smooth fingering yarn and 3mm needles, these turned out fairly small (hand hugging). For those who knit tightly, I think you would get more of an adult size mitten using sport weight yarn and needles about 2.5mm or 2.75mm for the hand. The pattern was well-written, and I will certainly use it again

Stickar dessa underbara vantar och har nu kommit till vänster tumme. Hur gör jag på enklast sätt med diagrammet? Det visar ju bara höger tumme. Jag vet var jag ska sätta vänster tumme men diagrammet är ju svartmålat där jag nu ska sticka vanligt mönster...
