Buon lavoro!

Numbercruncher 05.07.2017 - 11:04:

I've rechecked the tension on the stocking stitch part of the pattern and it is correct. According to the calculation I should need 475g of the Merino ExtraFine. However knitting the right front, I've had to start a new ball less than half way up the piece. There is no way that 10 balls will be enough for the whole garment. What have I done wrong - or is there a problem with the yarn or the pattern? I'm an experienced knitter and am very confused.

DROPS Design 05.07.2017 kl. 12:12:

Dear Numbercruncher, it's quite difficult to answer there, do not hesitate to bring your work to your Store or show them a picture of your work per mail, they should be able to help you. Happy knitting!

Numbercruncher 04.07.2017 - 12:32:

I've been knitting Pattern no cm-019 using Drops merino extra fine, which seems to be equivalent in tension/yardage to Drops cotton merino. I've checked the tension carefully and it's correct, but halfway up the first side it's clear I won't have nearly enough yarn, even though I bought 500g instead of the 450g specified. Any thought or ideas? Many thanks

DROPS Design 04.07.2017 kl. 15:41:

Dear Numbercruncher, did you kept same tension as for your swatch? Did you calculate new amount of yarn for Merino Extra Fine following this calculation? Happy knitting!

I made this pattern and found it well written and easy to follow. Very happy with the results! Thank you!

Christina D Cersosimo 29.10.2015 - 14:32:

I need guidance. When I review the Charts, patterns and pictures for Drops Design 0-01112, the pattern is showing that the sides are knit in stockingknit stitch (K on right side) for the finished garment. But when I watch the video of the False English rib pattern, it shows the wrong side (purl side) as the front. Which is correct?

DROPS Design 29.10.2015 kl. 16:14:

Dear Mrs D Cersosimo, the video below shows how to work the false English rib following diagram A.2, ie stocking sts, A.2 starting with P2 from RS, then stocking st. Happy knitting!

Memerelina 05.06.2015 - 02:06:

Are there no written directions to this pattern? Why are all the patterns now in chart form? It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks and at my age, after knitting with written patterns all these years, I find it difficult to follow a chart. Both written and chart patterns should be furnished with the pattern to make it easier for old geezers like me to follow. Thank you for your attention to this request.

DROPS Design 05.06.2015 kl. 10:05:

Dear Mermelina, please click here to read more about diagrams - and you will find here a video showing how to work diag. A.2 - Remember you can get any tips & advice as well as individual assistance from your DROPS Store. Happy knitting!

Anne Michel 21.05.2015 - 10:57:

Bon tricot!
