BACK PIECE:
Worked back and forth on circular needle.
LOOSELY cast on 54-58-64-70-76-82 sts on circular needle size 9 mm / US 13 with 2 strands Bomull-Lin or Paris. Then work ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above, work only with 1 strand. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE When piece measures 8 cm / 3 1/8'' - READ MEASURING TIP, insert 1 marker in each side of piece (vent beg here). When piece measures 16 cm / 6 1/4'', dec 1 st in each side of piece - READ DECREASE TIP! Repeat dec in each side every 9 cm / 3½'' 1-1-2-2-2-2 more times = 50-54-58-64-70-76 sts. When piece measures 36-37-38-39-40-41 cm / 14¼''-14½''-15''-14 1/4''-15¾''-16 1/8'', bind off for armholes in each side of piece as follows: bind off 2 sts at the beg of the next 2 rows = 46-50-54-60-66-72 sts. When piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm / 20½''-21¼''-22''-22¾''-23 5/8''-24 3/8'' - REMEMBER MEASURING TIP, bind off the middle 16-16-16-18-18-18 sts for neck and finish each shoulder separately (= 15-17-19-21-24-27 sts on each shoulder). Dec 1 st inside 1 edge st on next row from neck = 14-16-18-20-23-26 sts. LOOSELY bind off when piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm / 22''-22¾''-23 5/8''-24 3/8''-25¼''-26''.

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
Worked back and forth on circular needle.
LOOSELY cast on 30-32-35-38-41-44 sts (includes 3 band sts) on circular needle size 9 mm / US 13 with 2 strands Bomull-Lin or Paris. Then work ridges in garter st with only 1 strand. When piece measures 18 cm / 7'', insert 1 marker in the side of piece from RS (vent beg here). When piece measures 26 cm / 10 1/4'', dec 1 st on next row from RS inside 1 edge st. Repeat dec every 9 cm / 3½'' 1-1-2-2-2-2 more times = 28-30-32-35-38-41 sts. When piece measures 46-47-48-49-50-51 cm / 18''-18½''-19''-19¼''-19¾''-20'', bind off for armhole as follows: bind off 2 sts at beg of next row from RS = 26-28-30-33-36-39 sts. When piece measures 56-58-59-61-62-64 cm / 22"-22 3/4"-23 1/4"-24"-24½"-25 1/4", bind off for neck towards mid front as follows: bind off 10-10-10-11-11-11 sts 1 time. Continue to dec 1 st inside 1 edge st on every row from neck 2 times in total = 14-16-18-20-23-26 sts remain on shoulder. LOOSELY bind off when piece measures 66-68-70-72-74-76 cm / 26''-26¾''-27½''-28 3/8''-29 1/8''-30''.

RIGHT FRONT PIECE:
Work as left front piece but reversed - i.e. insert 1 marker for vent in the side, bind off for armhole at beg of row from WS. Remember BUTTONHOLES - see explanation above.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew shoulder seams inside bind-off edges.

SLEEVE:
Sleeve is worked top down. Pick up 44-46-48-50-52-54 sts (includes 1 edge st in each side) on circular needle size 9 mm / US 13 with Bomull-Lin or Paris - NOTE: Pick up in edge sts inside the 2 sts bind off for armholes in each side. Work stockinette st back and forth on circular needle. When piece measures 2 cm / 3/4'', insert 1 marker in each side - used for assembly of sleeve. When piece measures 5-4-5-4-5-3 cm / 2"-1½"-2"-1½"-2"-1", dec 1 st in each side of piece inside 1 edge st. Repeat dec every 3 cm / 1'' 8-8-7-7-6-6 more times = 26-28-32-34-38-40 sts. LOOSELY bind off sleeve piece measures 38-37-36-34-32-30 cm / 15"-14½"-14 1/4"-13½"-12½"-11 3/4" (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider shoulders).

ASSEMBLY:
Sew the sleeve seams inside 1 edge st - NOTE: The 2 cm / 3/4'' worked back and forth before marker at the top of sleeve should fit the bind off for armhole. Sew side seam from armhole down to marker for vent, sew in outer loops of edge sts. Sew the buttons on to the left band.

Nicoletta 22.03.2018 - 17:52:

DROPS Design 03.08.2017 kl. 08:43:

Buongiorno Laura. Buon lavoro!

Faith 02.08.2017 - 11:52:

For the sleeves when it says pick up sts where am I picking them up from?

DROPS Design 02.08.2017 kl. 12:05:

Hi Faith, You are picking up stitches around the armhole so that the sleeve is then worked from the shoulder down to the cuffs. Happy knitting!

Rosie 18.07.2017 - 13:18:

(Silly question) When it says cast on with 2 strands does it mean the whole thing is knit 'double stranded' so do I cast on two strands joined together?

DROPS Design 18.07.2017 kl. 14:26:

Dear Rosie, in this pattern, only cast on is worked with 2 strands, then continue with only 1 strand. Happy knitting!

Donatella 16.06.2016 - 18:06:

Nina Manelius 07.03.2016 - 18:27:

Hei! olen vähän kiinnostunu tosta neuletta Farewell Florence... et voiko siitä neuloo ihan tavallinen mallit ja neuloo oikea-oikealle puolelle ja nurja-nurin puolelle koko ajan neulotta....??? jättäisin napit vaan pois.....

DROPS Design 09.03.2016 kl. 16:08:

Hei! Voit kyllä neuloa jakun sileänä neuleena. Ota kuitenkin huomioon, että neuletiheys muuttuu, eli kerroksia/cm tulee vähemmän.

Hannie De Man 03.04.2015 - 09:04:

Alvast bedankt. Groet, Hannie

DROPS Design 03.04.2015 kl. 10:09:

Succes!
