GARTER ST (back and forth):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1-A.2. The diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS.

DECREASE TIP:
Dec 1 st before marker as follows: Work until 2 sts remain before marker, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso.
Dec 1 st after marker as follows: K 2 tog.
----------------------------------------------------------

BODY:
Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Cast on 198-214-230-250-274-294 sts (incl 5 band sts in each side of piece) on circular needle size 5 mm with Merino Extra Fine. Work 2 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above, AT THE SAME TIME insert 2 markers in the piece as follows: K 52-56-60-65-71-76, insert 1 marker, K 94-102-110-120-132-142 (= back piece), insert 1 marker, K 52-56-60-65-71-76. Then work as follows from RS: A.1 (= 15 sts) 1 time, stocking st until 15 sts remain, work A.2 (= 15 sts) 1 time. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION Continue this pattern until finished measurements. When piece measures 8 cm, dec 1 st on each side of every marker (= 4 sts dec) - READ DECREASE TIP! Repeat dec every 3½-4-4-4-4½-4½ cm 6 more times = 170-186-202-222-246-266 sts. When piece measures 33-34-35-36-37-38 cm, divide the piece, finish front and back piece separately as follows: Slip the first 45-49-53-58-64-69 (= right front piece) and the last 45-49-53-58-64-69 sts (= left front piece) on a stitch holder, cut the yarn, continue only over the middle 80-88-96-106-118-128 sts (= back piece).

BACK PIECE:
= 80-88-96-106-118-128 sts. Now cast on new sts for sleeve in each side of piece at the end of every row as follows: Cast on 5-4-4-3-3-2 st 4 times in total in each side and then cast on 7-8-6-7-3-4 sts 1 time = 134-136-140-144-148-152 sts on row. Work inc sts in stocking st. When all sts have been inc, work next row from RS as follows: A.1, stocking st until 15 sts remain, finish with A.2. Continue pattern like this. When piece measures 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm, cast off the middle 28-30-32-34-36-38 sts for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Continue to cast off 1 st on next row from neck = 52-52-53-54-55-56 sts remain on row. When piece measures 49-51-53-55-57-59 cm, K 1 row from RS, K 1 row from WS, then cast off all sts, piece measures approx. 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm.

RIGHT FRONT PIECE:
= 45-49-53-58-64-69 sts. Continue with stocking st and pattern. AT THE SAME TIME cast on for sleeve at the end of every row from RS as follows: Cast on 5-4-4-3-3-2 st 4 times in total in the each side and then cast on 7-8-6-7-3-4 sts 1 time = 72-73-75-77-79-81 sts. Work inc sts in stocking st. When all sts have been inc, work next row from RS as follows: A.1, stocking st until 15 sts remain, finish with A.2. Continue pattern like this. When piece measures 44-46-48-50-52-54 cm - adjust after 1 whole repetition of lace pattern - slip the first 14-15-16-17-18-19 sts on a stitch holder for neck and cast off on every row from the neck as follows: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 2 times = 52-52-53-54-55-56 sts remain for shoulder. When piece measures 49-51-53-55-57-59 cm, K 1 row from RS, K 1 row from WS, then cast off all sts, piece measures approx. 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm.

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
Work as right front piece but reversed. Work A.1 over sleeve sts instead of A.2. Cast off for neck at beg of row from WS.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew shoulder seams inside cast-off edge. Sew sleeve seams in outer loops of edge sts. Sew on 6 buttons evenly on left band - button through holes on right band, adjust according to these.

NECK EDGE:
Pick up 82-102 sts around the neck (incl sts on stitch holders) work 2 ridges. Cast off.
