PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1-A.3.
----------------------------------------------------------

POT HOLDER:
Work 32 loose ch with red on hook size 4 mm / G/6.
ROW 1 (= WS): Work A.1, then work A.2 4 times in total, and finish with A.3. When last sc on row has been worked, cut the yarn. Turn piece.
ROW 2 (= RS): Switch to opal green - READ CROCHET INFO, and work as follows: ch 5, continue with A.3, then A.2 4 times in total, and finish with A.1. Cut the yarn.
ROW 3: Work 3 ch with red. Continue with pattern according to 3rd row. When last dc on row has been worked, cut the yarn.
ROW 4: Work 3 ch with opal green. Continue with pattern A.3, A.2 and A.1 the entire row as before. When the last 4 dc on row have been worked into 1 dc, cut the yarn.
ROW 5: Work 1 ch with red. Continue with A.1, A.2 and A.3 until row has been worked.
Then repeat rows 2 to 5 until piece measures approx. 20 cm / 8'' vertically. NOTE! Remember to change color on every row. Finish with green. Fasten off.

STRAP:
Fasten yarn with 1 sl st with opal green in last st on previous row in one corner on pot holder. Then work 14 ch, and 1 sc in last st from prev row (= strap). Turn and work 14 sc in ch-space (= strap), finish with 1 sl st in first st. Fasten off.

I was just wondering, if I wanted to make this all one color, would I still only chain 5 to do the second row or would I chain 6 instead, because I'm not adding the sl st to join the green yarn?

DROPS Design 07.08.2014 kl. 10:14:

Dear Amanda, if working with 1 colour, you can just follow diagram as it is now, ie at the end of 1st row finish with 1 sc then start 2nd row with 5 ch. Happy crocheting!

Die Topflappen kann man gut auf "Vorrat" häkeln und wenn man mal eingeladen ist, hat man ein nettes Geschenk.
