CARDIGAN:

Gauge: 8 sts x 11 rows with 1 strand Eskimo + 1 strand Vivaldi = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette st.

Rib: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from * - *.

Back: Cast on 33-36-39-42-46 sts with 1 strand off white Eskimo + 1 strand black Vivaldi. K 1 row (row 1 = right side). Change to 1 strand black Eskimo + 1 strand off white Vivaldi. K 1 row (from wrong side), then knit stockinette st to finished measurements. When the piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st at each side. Repeat inc when the piece measures 22 cm = 37-40-43-46-50 sts. When the piece measures 34-35-36-37-38 cm bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 2 sts 1-1-2-2-3 times and 1 st 2-3-2-3-3 times = 29-30-31-32-32 sts. When the piece measures 51-53-55-57-59 cm bind off the center 9-10-11-12-12 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 9 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm.

Left front: Cast on 20-21-23-24-26 sts with 1 strand off white Eskimo + 1 strand black Vivaldi. K 1 row (row 1 = right side). Change to 1 strand black Eskimo + 1 strand off white Vivaldi. K 1 row (wrong side row), then knit stockinette st, keeping 5 sts at center front edge knit as follows from edge (seen from the right side): K 1 (garter st edge st), K 1, P 1, K 1 and P 1. When the piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st at side edge, repeat inc when the piece measures 22 cm = 22-23-25-26-28 sts.
When the piece measures 34-35-36-37-38 cm cast off for armhole at the side as on back = 18-18-19-19-19 sts.
When the piece measures 48-50-52-54-56 cm put the 5 edge sts at the center front on a st holder for the neck. Then cast off for the neck every other row: 2 sts 1-1-2-2-2 times and 1 st 2-2-1-1-1 time = 9 sts remain on shoulder. Cast off when the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm.

Right front: Cast on and knit the same as the left, reversing all shaping. Make buttonholes along button band. 1 buttonhole = bind off the 3rd sts from edge and cast on 1 new st over bound off st on the next row. Make buttonholes when the piece measures:
Size S: 2, 11, 20, 29, 38 and 47 cm.
Size M: 3, 12, 21, 30, 39 and 48 cm.
Size L: 3, 13, 22, 32, 41 and 50 cm.
Size XL: 3, 13, 23, 33, 43 and 53 cm.
Size XXL: 4, 14, 24, 34, 44 and 54 cm.

Sleeve: Loosely cast on 21-22-23-24-25 sts with 1 strand off white Eskimo + 1 strand black Vivaldi. K 2 rows (row 1 = right side), then stockinette st.
Read the entire next section before knitting:
When the piece measures 10 cm inc 1 st at each side every 9-9-8.5-8.5-8 cm a total of 5 times = 31-32-33-34-35 sts. At the same time when the piece measures approx. 20 cm (adjust so that the next row is a wrong side row) change to 1 strand black Eskimo + 1 strand off white Vivaldi. K 1 row from wrong side, then knit stockinette st to finished measurements. When sleeve measures 49-48-47-46-44 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 2 sts 3-3-3-2-2 times, 1 st 0-0-1-3-4 times, then cast off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 58-58-58-58-59 cm. Cast off the remaining sts.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams.
Collar: Pick up approx. 35 to 41 sts (divisible by 2 + 1) around the neck (incl. sts on st holders) with 1 strand black Eskimo + 1 strand off white Vivaldi. Knit rib, keeping 1 st in garter st at each side and start rib with K 1 after the edge st. After 7 cm make 1 buttonhole over the others. Cast off in pattern when the collar measures 9 cm. Sew in sleeves - distribute sts from sleeves evenly in armhole. Sew sleeve and side seams. Sew on buttons.

HAT:

Sizes: One-size
Head measurement: approx. 54-56 cm

Materials: DROPS ESKIMO from Garnstudio
100 gr nr 02, black.

Hat:
Cast on 52 sts. Knit 4 rows stockinette st (= rolled edge) – measure the work from here. Continue with rib (K 2, P 2) for 3 cm. Then knit stockinette st to finished measurements – decreasing 2 sts evenly distributed on the first row = 50 sts. When the piece measures approx. 9 cm (adjust so that the next row is a right side row) put 5 markers in work as follows: 1 st, 1 marker, * 10 sts, 1 marker *, repeat from * - * a total of 4 times, after last marker there are 9 sts. Continue with stockinette st – decreasing every other row 1 st on the left side of each marker by K 2 tog a total of 8 times = 10 sts remain. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining 10 sts and fasten.
Hat measures approx. 20-21 cm. Sew hat at center back.
