CROCHET TIP:
To make the beginning edge elastic, start with more ch sts than you will work into on second round.
----------------------------------------------------------

CROWN WITH HAIR:
Work on hook size 5 mm / H/8 with Nepal.

ROUND 1: Ch 72-84 with white and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.

ROUND 2: Read CROCHET TIP! Ch 1, * work 1 sc in each of the next 3 ch, do not work the 4th ch but skip this st *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 54-63 sc (divisible by 9). Finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc on round.

ROUND 3: Switch to pink. Ch 1, work 1 sc in every st the entire round = 54-63 sc. Finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc.

ROUND 4: ch 3, 1 dc in first sc on round below, then work 1 dc in every sc = 54-63 dc, finish round with 1 sl st in first dc on round.

ROUND 5: ch 1, work sc in every dc on round below, finish with 1 sl st in first sc on round.

ROUND 6: ch 3, 1 dc in first sc on round below, then work 1 dc in every sc = 54-63 dc, finish round with 1 sl st in first dc on round.

ROUND 7: ch 1, work sc in every dc on round below, finish with 1 sl st in first sc on round.

ROUND 8: 1 ch, 1 sc in first sc on round below * ch 3, 1 sc in next st, skip the next 3 sts, in next st work as follows: 4 tr, ch 4, 1 dc in first ch, 4 tr, skip the next 3 sts and in the next st work 1 sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc on round.
Fasten off.

HAIR:
Make fringes for hair by cutting strands twice as long as you want the hair.
Count 4 strands in every fringe. Insert a hook from WS through 2nd and 3rd round between every st along approx. half the edge of crown.
Pull yarn through to the middle to make a large loop.
Pull yarn ends through this loop and tighten.
