---------------------------------------------------------

HAT:
Cast on 54-60-66 sts on circular needle size 7 mm / US 10.75 with auburn/brown.
P 1 round, switch to dark rose and work in GARTER ST in the round on needle - see explanation above.
When piece measures 8 cm / 3 1/8'', K 1 round, then work next round as follows: * K 1, K 2 tog *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36-40-44 sts.
Then work ENGLISH RIB in the round on circular needle - see explanation above.
When piece measures approx. 26-27-28 cm / 10 1/4"-10½"-11" – finish after 3rd round in pattern, dec as follows (switch to double pointed needles when needed):
ROUND 1: * P tog YO and slipped st, K 1 *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36-40-44 sts.
ROUND 2 and 3: K over K and P over P.
ROUND 4: K2 tog around = 18-20-22 sts.

Jane Stone 30.12.2018 - 12:48:

Please can you tell me the circumference sizes for hats. I’m about to knit 0-883 in Eskimo and would like to know which size I need to knit. Thank you

DROPS Design 02.01.2019 kl. 11:21:

Dear Mrs Stone, the usual sizes for hats are size S fits 50/52 cm - M fits 54/56 cm and size L fits 58-60 cm. Make sure to check your tension, the hat may look a bit small due to the English rib and the elasticity of the pattern. Happy knitting!

Hennie Koopman 13.12.2017 - 13:06:

Vad motsvarar mösstorlekarna i omkrets?

DROPS Design 29.11.2017 kl. 14:40:

Hei Tina.

Margaret 10.01.2017 - 16:02:

Hello. I am finding the video for the fisherman's rib in the round difficult to follow as it is shown in continental knitting style. My 3-row pattern just doesn't look right. Would the English rib, two-row pattern work in the round?

DROPS Design 10.01.2017 kl. 17:01:

Dear Margaret, when working English rib in the round with the strand in the right hand, pass the yarn in front of work, slip 1 as if to P, pass yarn again between needle tips (so that the yarn makes a yarn over the needle) and P tog the YO and the next st. (round 2). You can also adjust pattern working on straight needles - read here. Happy knitting!

Julie 11.11.2016 - 15:29:

Bon tricot !
