In the pattern instructions, what does Str mean before the size and og before the last chart number?
28.01.2023 - 09:50DROPS Design answered:
Dear Hannah, there seems to be a typo in the pattern; we will correct it as soon as possible. Str = size. og = and. So, for example, size XS: M.1, M.2 and M.3. Happy knitting!

How can I enlarge this pattern to a size XL? My bulldog has a chest circumference of 84cm and a back length of 70cm. I would love to see big dog patterns. Thank you!

Hva betyr settpinne?\r\nMvh Tove

Hi, I am at the place where I need to put these 11 sts on a band but I am not sure where this should accour? The recipe does not say where. Should I only do this once? Should’nt there be an opening for two legs?

Can I get some help please? I am stuck on the part where I need to slip stitches for the belly. It says bind off a stitch, then slip the belly stitches, then bind off a stitch... After I slip my stitches do I turn my work around and purl back to the end and then knit back again? If this is the case surely if I am now knitting back at this point I will have cast off 2 stitches at the same side of the belly?
27.01.2021 - 00:05DROPS Design answered:
Dear Evie, on this round work as follows: cast off 1 stitch, work the next 10-22 stitches and slip these 11-23 sts on a thread, cast off 1 stitch and continue working remaining stitch on the row (back piece), now turn and work over these 47-71-83 sts on needle. This video shows how to work a dog sweater - another pattern but technique will be the same and it could help you. Happy knitting!

PATTERN: See diagrams M.1 to M.5. Work entire pattern in stocking st. RIB: * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from *-*. ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER: Worked in the round on needle from the neck down. Cast on 52-72-92 sts on double pointed needles size 3 mm with black. Work rib - READ RIB! - for 6-8-10 cm (= neck). Switch to a short circular needle size 3.5 mm (double pointed needles for the smallest size), work 1 round in stocking st while at the same time inc 8-12-16 sts evenly = 60-84-108 sts. Then work pattern as follows upwards: Str XS: M.1, M.2 og M.3 Str S: M.1, M.2, M.3 og M.4 Str M: M.1, M.2, M.3, M.4 og M.5 AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 10-14-18 cm (from cast on edge), divide for front legs as follows: Cast off 1 st, slip 11-11-23 sts on a stitch holder (= under the belly), cast off 1 st, then continue pattern back and forth on needle over the remaining 47-71-83 sts (= back piece). When piece measures a total of 16-22-28 cm (opening measures approx. 6-8-10 cm), slip sts on a stitch holder. Slip sts from stitch holder under the belly back on needle and work pattern over these sts the same length as on back piece. Slip all sts on the same needle again and cast on 1 new st in each side between over and under piece = 60-84-108 sts. Finish the pattern, then work with medium grey until finished measurements. When piece measures a total of 19-27-35 cm, cast off the middle 9-13-17 sts mid under the belly. Then finish the piece back and forth – while at the same time casting off in each side on every other row: 2 sts 1-2-3 times, 1 st 8-9-10 times, 2 sts 1-2-3 times and 3 sts 1 time = 21-31-41 sts remain on needle. Piece measures approx. 27-37-47 cm. ASSEMBLY: Slip the remaining sts on circular needle size 3 mm, knit in addition up sts around the cast off edge so that there are a total of 84-108-140 sts. Work rib with medium grey for 2½-3-3 cm, loosely cast off. Leg: Knit up approx. 36-44-52 sts on double pointed needles size 3 mm with black around the one leg opening. Work rib for 3-4-6 cm, loosely cast off with K over K and P over P. Repeat around the other opening. Fold the neck double. |
