MOSS ST:
Row 1: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from *-*.
Row 2: K over P and P over K. Repeat 2nd row.

DECREASE TIP - MOSS ST:

Dec 1 st by working the 2 sts after marker tog, K tog if next st is P, P tog if next st is K.

HEEL DECREASE:
Row 1 (= RS): Work until 5-6-6 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece.

--------------------------------------------------------

SOCK:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles from mid back. Cast on 42-48-54 sts on double pointed needles size 4 mm with 1 thread Fabel and 1 thread Baby Merino (= 2 threads). K 2 rounds. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Then work rib K 4/P 2 until piece measures 6 cm. Insert a marker before 1st st on beg of round (= mid back). Continue in moss st – See explanation above, AT THE SAME TIME on 1st round, dec 1 st = 41-47-53 sts. Then dec in the different sizes as follows – See DECREASE TIP - MOSS ST:
Size 35/37: Continue to work without dec.
Size 38/40: When piece measures 9 and 16 cm, dec 1 st on each side of marker.
Size 41/43: When piece measures 8, 13 and 18 cm, dec 1 st on each side of marker = 41-43-47 sts.
Work until piece measures 24-25-26 cm. Now keep the first 9-10-11 sts on needle, slip the next 23-23-25 sts on a stitch holder (= mid on top of foot) and keep the last 9-10-11 sts on needle = 18-20-22 sts for heel. Work in stocking st back and forth over heel sts for 5-5½-6 cm. Insert a marker and measure the piece from here.
Now dec for heel - see HEEL DECREASE!
After heel dec, knit up 10-11-11 sts along each side of heel and slip the 23-23-25 sts from stitch holder back on needle = 53-55-59 sts. Insert a marker on each side of the 23-23-25 sts from stitch holder. Work in moss st over the 23-23-25 sts on top of foot and in stocking st under foot.
AT THE SAME TIME dec in each side on every other round a total of 8-8-8 times as follows: K the last 2 sts before sts on top of foot twisted tog (i.e. in back loop of st instead of front), K the first 2 sts after sts on top of foot tog = 37-39-43 sts.
Work until piece measures 18-20-22 cm from marker on heel (= approx. 4-4-5 cm remain).
Insert a marker in each side so that there are 19-20-22 sts on top of foot and 18-19-21 sts under foot. Continue in stocking st over all sts, now dec for toes on each side of both markers. Dec as follows before 1 K st and marker: K 2 tog Dec as follows after marker and 1 K st: K 2 twisted tog. Dec in each side on every other round a total of 5-5-6 times and then on every round a total of 2-2-2 times = 9-11-11 sts remain on needle. On next round work all sts tog 2 by 2.
Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten.
