Buon lavoro!

Do you work M1 individually 9 times or do you knit 1 row x9 at a time? if individually how do you join? where do the double ended needles come in?

Dear Jill, M.1 will be repeated in the round, row after row - read more about knitting diagrams in the round here. Happy knitting!

Liebes Team.

The picture of model 132-10 shows wedges of plain knitted stitches, and wedges showing design stitches as M1. however in the explanations it just gives the explanation for the design M1 it does not show the number of stitches for plain knitting between pattern. Thank you

Dear Mrs Grossi, the stocking sts sections you can see on the picture are the one you can see in the middle of M.1 (all white squares). Happy knitting!

Knitted DROPS beret with lace pattern in ”Alaska”.
DROPS 132-10 |
|||||||||||||
PATTERN: See diagram M.1 - diagram shows 1 repetition and seen from RS. -------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked in the round from bottom up. Cast on 90 sts with Alaska on circular needle size 3.5 mm. Work rib = P 3/K 3 for 10 rounds. Switch to circular needle size 5 mm, K 1 round, then work diagram M.1 (= 9 repetitions on the round). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When diagram M.1 has been worked, 36 sts remain on needle. On next round K tog all sts 2 by 2 = 18 sts. Work another round in the same way = 9 sts. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts twice, tighten tog and fasten tightly. The hat measures approx. 24-25 cm vertically. TIP: To form the beret do as follows: Wet the hat, place a plate of approx. 28-30 cm in diameter inside the hat and leave to dry. |
