The neck warmer is worked back and forth in one long piece and is sewn tog when finished.

Repeat row 3 and 4 until piece measures approx. 150 cm (finish after row 4). Now work an edge as follows (see Fig. 3, X = beg of edge): Turn piece. Work 2 love knots, 1 dc in next to last knot from previous row, * 1 love knot, skip 1 knot, 1 dc in next knot *, repeat from *-* the rest of row (now there will be a straight edge), continue with 2 love knots (= corner), turn piece to work along the long side, 1 dc in next knot, * 1 love knot, skip 1 knot, 1 dc in next knot *, repeat from *-* down the entire long side. Continue with 2 love knots (= corner), turn piece to work along the short side (= 1st row), 1 dc in next knot, * 1 love knot, skip 1 knot, 1 dc in next knot *, repeat from *-* along the entire side, finish with 2 love knots and fasten with 1 sl st in the very first ch made.

Cannarella, the pattern you are on is a British pattern. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. A dc in UK is a sc in US. The videos are using US as standard.

Cannarella 30.11.2011 - 15:58:

I watched the video for the above pattern. The video did a single crochet, but the pattern listed a double crochet. I think single crochet fit more with the picture of the neck warmer.
