I have reached M2 of the Drops 126-24 and find that the pattern is only for 27 stitches, while I have 30 stitches after M1? What happens to the three stitches (The 27 stitches includes the 3 garter stitches).
20.12.2015 - 00:28DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Goldman, after M1 you have a total of 30 sts and work these 30 sts as follows: 3 sts in garter st, 24 sts in M2 (1st row in M2 = WS = K4, P5, K1, P4, K1, P5, K4), 3 sts in garter st = 30 sts. Happy knitting!

I don't know how you got to the 30 stitches. I casted on 25 stitches and then work first two rows in garter stitch. How do I get to the 30 stitches? Thanks! Pat
01.09.2015 - 19:36DROPS Design answered:
Dear Pat, after the first 2 rows in garter st, you work diagram M.1 (= 19 sts) with 3 sts in garter st in each side - M.1 = 1 row including 5 inc - see diagram and text to diagram. Happy knitting!

Dear Mrs Curry, work first M1 (=19 sts) on next row from RS after the 2 rows in garter st - M1 is only 1 row - Then work M2 (1st row = from WS) and repeat M2 in height until piece measures 52-57 cm, then work M3 (= 1 row) and 2 rows garter st. (click here to read more about diagrams). Happy knitting!

Dear Mrs Curry, you first work M.1 (1 row), then over the 30 sts repeat M.2 in height until piece measures 52-57 cm (work until row 11 in M.2) then work M.3 (= 1 row = 25 sts). Happy knitting!

Hi, I have a question: It seems that the description does not match the diagram. It says cast on 25sts but M1 shows only 19 sts? What happened to the remaining 6sts? thanks, Bozena
17.01.2015 - 22:38DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Bozena, you work M1 over the 19 sts with 3 garter sts each side (= 25 sts), when M1 has been worked, you have a total of 30 sts, continue with 3 garter sts each side. Happy knitting!

Dear Anne, work 2 sts in a st means to work this st alternately into front and back loop (inc 1 st) as shown in the video below. Happy knitting!

I would like to knit this head band Can you explain to me what does M1 M2 & M3 mean in this pattern and also what does the two dots mean in the patter on M1 Thank you
10.11.2014 - 00:10DROPS Design answered:
Dear Alice, M1, M2 and M3 refer to the diagrams you will find at the bottom of the pattern (read more about diagrams here) - Each symbol correspond to a diagram text that is explained just above diagrams, each dot in a square means to work this st twice, ie in front & back loop. Happy knitting!
