Size: S/M - L
Head circumference: 54/56 - 56/58 cm
Materials: DROPS ESKIMO from Garnstudio
150 g for both sizes colour no 21, blue/violet

DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES and CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 cm) size 7 mm - or size needed to get 12 sts x 16 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 cm) size 6 mm - for rib.

NECK WARMER:
Size: one-size
Materials: DROPS ESKIMO from Garnstudio
250 g colour no 21, blue/violet

DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (80 cm) size 7 mm - or size needed to get 12 sts x 16 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (80 cm) size 6 mm – for rib.

Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. HAT AND NECK WARMER:

TWISTED RIB:
Round 1: * K2, P2 *, repeat from *-*.
Round 2: * K1 in the second K st, K1 in the first K st, slip both sts off needle, P2 *, repeat from *-*.
Repeat round 1 and 2.

HAT:
Worked in the round on circular needle and double pointed needles (change to double pointed needles when sts no longer fit circular needle). Cast on 72-76 sts on circular needle size 6 mm with Eskimo. K 1 round and continue in rib K2/P2. When rib measures approx 7 cm change to circular needle size 7 mm. Now continue in TWISTED RIB - see above.
When piece measures approx 20-21 cm dec 1 st in every other P-section (beg dec in first P-section on round) = 63-66 sts.
Continue as before. When piece measures 22-23 cm dec 1 st in remaining P-sections = 54-57 sts. When piece measures approx 23-24 cm K2 tog on all K-sections = 36-38 sts. Work 1 round with K over K and P over P. Now K/P2 tog across the round = 18-19 sts. Cut the thread and pull it through remaining sts. Tighten and fasten thread.

NECK WARMER:
Worked in the round on circular needle.
Cast on 156 sts on circular needle size 6 mm with Eskimo. K 1 round and continue in rib K2/P4. When rib measures approx 3 cm dec 1 st in every other P-section (P tog the first 2 sts). When piece measures 4 cm dec 1 st in remaining P-sections in the same way = 130 sts. When piece measures 5 cm dec 1 st in every other P-section (P tog the last 2 sts) and when piece measures 6 cm dec 1 st in remaining P-sections in the same way = 104 sts (K2/P2). Continue in rib until piece measures 7 cm. Change to circular needle size 7 mm and continue in TWISTED RIB - see above - until piece measures a total of 24 cm. Now change back to circular needle size 6 mm and continue in rib K2/P2. When rib measures approx 5 cm K 1 round on all sts and then cast off LOOSELY. Neck warmer measures approx 30 cm.
